Amazon Prime India is pretty much bottom of the barrel, not like the other services in India are so much better.
Their offerings are either a fraction of what other regions on the same service receive, heavily censored in every way and the bulk of the local content is just utter cringe. For example, in this region I couldn't even watch one of their Amazon Original shows, months (years?) later from the US telecast date. No channel licenses that show locally, but still Amazon Prime sticks the early seasons online, and makes the latest seasons unavailable in the region. Screw that BS.

And you're giving them all of your browsing habits and tracking data, in fact they should be paying YOU for acquiring and exploiting your data to build ad targeting profiles.

Also don't forget, all the fools who don't care about the gross invasion of privacy online are the kind of fools who go surprised pikachu face when their own data is misused and used against them.

For the mass, if you're active Prime users, Prime video is something of nice bonus for free. But for those wanting it sorely for Streaming - don't. It doesn't matter how many catalog Amazon claim they have, it is the single worst platform out of the major players. They can't get index / multi-language right with their catalog, and if you often will find same title showing but under different language - titles native language and your local one, and because of their index issue, search often don't find the the video even if it in the catalog. And you often find limited subtitle/dialogue support - eg. English casted films but dubbed in another language/subtitle (not original), or title that you know has x-language, but not in Amazon. And it took Amazon like 6-years to add support in Android TV/box input password via remote instead of hitting the d-pad on-screen. Worst, when Amazon finally add the feature, when Amazon finally introduce user-profile support (another late feature), somehow it the old d-pad on screen input password again. As if the dev somehow use the backlog code for the password input.

It fails miserably as a stand-alone streaming service. Period. There's a reason why, you don't hear people say "hey, you see that new title on Prime Video", but Netflix, HBO or even new players like Disney+ is catching up rapidly.
