Read/write compared to emmc or ufs tech. it decrease overall load times if app not store in main storage usually solid state storage soldered directly to cpu lane, try burst 108mp photo to sd card, unless you prepared to spend fortune for 4k rated gold class 10 read/write speed. use type c otg to backup anything. Sim and sd card really took up space in already compact form factor. Ditch sdcard and sim, esim is better.

notafanboy, 14 Jan 2021Save your videos in HEVC. Problem solved. Once again, 256gb is more than enough.Funny you mention HEVC, it doesn't save as much size as I would expect. I expect about 25% or more size reduction, even uexpecting up tp 50%. But instead? It only save about 10% to 15% of the size compared to H.264-recorded video. Not sure if it's worth the hassle.

- besides, the size of the photos and videos you click are huge in size as well the the applications you uses consumes alot of space of your phone's internal memory and your own files like old photo collections + videos + documents + movies etc so consumes internal storage at the same time
since, you only relay on internal storage the speed of the phone would low down and once again, for the users who root their phone to upgrade a new custom rom or for the users whose phone dies in any circumstances u loses all your data.
