I have updated my Note only last month to ICS4.04 and am quite happy it. So I am in no hurry to update it again to JB. Still it is nice to know that Note will get update.
i have been waiting the whole month for JB and was disappointed and angry when they said its not going to be rolled out today.... Samsung make up your mind

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2012I think its not deliver before 2013 1st quarter. Because Note2 and SIII comes with JB. Then I will totally disappointed :(
But lets guess; currently 'many' official leak of SGSIII JB are available with 'only' minor bugs.
And I don't think Sammy guy's too stupid to fixed the bug more than one month. Unless they work on parallel.
"Very Soon" is merely business clause, let's not get trapped:p

"in a few weeks time" is not "very soon", a few days time would be ok as "very soon" when everyone was expecting it yesterday!

Samsung's record is better than other manufacturers (LG, Motorola etc), but that’s not exactly saying much.

So who cares if SGS2 get it before Note? The drivers for JB are out then for Exynos and then who cares? After that, XDA can do their work way better.
Long. They have been saying it's coming very soon for a while now and its all starting to get a tad boring

You might run Android 4.1, but with no Project Butter implemented, which is probably the biggest change and the only reason I want it to run on my SGS2. There are no ICS Drivers for ICS or Jelly Bean, so the Devs at XDA can cover your phone with the new Android Version, but not with all features, just like on iPhone 4, where you did not get Siri.
its great that new Devices are getting JB
but what about older devices?
any release date?
so fake what they said about "very soon" as always like s II before so that's mean wait until we sell enough of note II then we will release it for you s III users .(so waiting for Motorola nexus with Intel CPU) .

Plus Samsung is not the one to blame, you need to point all your fingers at telecom carriers for withholding the update packages to stamp it with ts own bloatwares and wallpapers and whatnot.
If the Note's firmware leaks are enough to fix the hwcomposer on the SGSII, I'd be happy enough. But given that they run on the same SOC it should be very easy for Samsung to port it over to the SII.
We've seen this 'very soon' nonsense from Samsung before. Don't be surprised if a further announcement is made stating that the GS3 4.1 update will take place in Q4 of 2012, with other devices (i.e. Note 1 and GS2 etc) to follow in Q1 2013.
And don't be surprised either if those time schedules fall by the wayside!
Samsung keep saying that they have learned form previous mistakes (i.e. the GS2 ice cream sandwich debacle) but I for one will believe it when I see it.
