Please don't let it happen. Soon, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and other chinese brands will be added to it. It will just make phone more expensive and incompetitive. Trump and others just need to stop. This will just make innovation slower. I assume Trump does this to make Apple seems better. Iphones are lazy, they are least innovating. Hope Biden can solve it. Trump is garbage minded

The reason for the ban is that Xiaomi is a "Communist Chinese Military Company" which is utter nonsense.
The ban requires Americans and American companies to divest all investments in Xiaomi by Nov 2021. Xiaomi is a publicly traded company on the HK stock exchange.

So in 2022 you basically either get a Samsung (hopefully with an SnapDragon processor) or an Apple phone in Europe.

OK, so Facebook, Instagram and now even whatsapp can share my personal information with whoever they deem suitable to, and that's not privacy or personal data violation, and all the money it is making hy that is not either. But when a Chinese company shares some of its profit with the government, that would be considered unethical?? How low can this orange guy go further? 🤔

Xiaomi IS NOT ON THE ENITY LIST, yet, like Huawei, DJI, etc. from purchasing US goods!
And if it turns out that way, NO ADMINISTRATION CAN OVERTURN A BLACKLISTED COMPANY DUE TO NATIONAL SECURITY CONCERNS!

USA will literally need 10 years to recover the damage he did even is some manufacturers back its productions to USA. And even in that case prices willl be a lot higher, normal people lost product they can pay and also no where to go in medical health.

So xiaomi did the same thing that Huawei did, built a phone better than the iPhone. Huawei's p and mate pro did better, got banned. Mi 10 ultra did better, in terms of camera, so frightened that xiaomi might do as good as Huawei, so seems like the cry baby US decides to ban them as well. What a pity! What a shame! The trillion dollar company cannot innovate, so the easiest way to win. Ban the ones better than them. Very much expected.
