Dreams and wishes aside. Trump is trying to divert attention from his impeachment to be followed by a trial next week. Who knows? He might even start a war as things turn very tight for him. All the crazy trade sanctions against China and several brands will be reversed. US desperately needs China to progress including dealing with COVID-19
Don't think it'll affect xiaomi as much as it did Huawei but then again, the latter has proven to be rather resilient and xiaomi is only just starting to gain real momentum. Hope xiaomi pulls through. But Huawei can go to the dumpster for all I care.

Thankfully this doesnt affect the android update support or chipset parts (at least not yet).
I mean its kinda weird when all these Chinese brands gain big market share they get banned in USA. Wonder if these bans for Huawei, ZTE and Xiamoi etc will change when Biden steps in.
