ryd3r, 17 Jan 2021you're making this statement based on what? They did the same for their tablets at the time.

This on top of the fact that the plus iPhone looked like a note 2.
And that original iPhone looked like LG and Samsung devices.
And they stole the names iPhone and iPad from existing devices.

ryd3r, 17 Jan 2021you're making this statement based on what?Based on the images where the galaxy was shortened to match the shape and size of the iPhone in images and compared app drawers to home screens.
And this ex even covered her on gsm.

If you didn't know what then why are you even talking about the subject????

I only tasted the galaxy from s2 and up. And I will still say that the uniqueness disappeared after s5.

I wanted this but my parents said it's too expensive and with my birthday money I got the original(they released a plus model a bit later) Samsun Galaxy Mini GT-S5570. I had it since the last grade of primary school and used it up to the end of high school. Then I got my beloved Galaxy S7 (The flat one, Exynos variant), it was already 1 year in the market because I was waiting for the S8, but when I saw it with weird aspect ratio, rounded corners, only edge screen and physical buttons, I said meh and went for the S7(sadly it was the last in the store and it was the 32GB model which doesn't keep up with todays standards).
Prion to the mini I had the Samsung J700i and before that the X450. Whenever my father got a new phone I was getting his older one! XD
I prefer Samsung phones, but in the family phone graveyard that I had since small which I collected their old phones, almost all of theme where Nokia. I played with them cause they had good games! XD
Except from my own, I also had the Nokia 3110, Nokia 3310, Nokia 1110/1112, Nokia 6070, Nokia 5000, Nokia X3-02, Nokia Asha 300, Nokia 301, Motorola Moto G2.

Davy Jones, 17 Jan 2021Those were the days when samsung used to be innovative/creative rather than following or copyi... moreoh, but you are so wrong. With the galaxy s, samsung not only that he copied iphone design, they even copied the icons. They lost the trial against apple. Apple themselved had copied ideas and patents from other manufacturers, but that's a different story.

When I was using phone ... moreSuch a shame because I think the largest jump in improvement was the note 8 to note 9. The heat pipe, much bigger battery, dial aperture for significant camera gain, the stereo speakers, last to retain the headphones jack.
You left Samsung when you would have seen a big gain and went to Apple when they finally made a change to things like a good Samsung oled screen.
These differences probably warped you view. But the long awaited and late changes Apple made also probably helped make it a smother transition.

And yes smooth. At least in comparison to other devices. Unless you count that all phones... and I mean ALL had more hiccups then.

S3 was unbearable after a year with the limited RAM and hot Exynos with Android and its API upgrades... The only grace saved was it had many developer work on it and has a Wolfsen DAC.

I had a captive for while I bought from a friend. It was a nice phone. When I was using phone back then I would unlock them and send them overseas. My last Galaxy had was a Note 8. I wanted a s10e but I ended up with a XS.

I choose the Xperia X10 at the time in April 2010 as it was out sooner. I had spent the previous 3.5 years on a Nokia 73 so it took some getting used to a touch screen android phone. The biggest let down that year with android phones were a lack of camera flash. My 2006 nokia took better indoor photos.

I have had a Galaxy SII, S3 and S4, and a Galaxy Nexus.
Here 7 years later, having tried several HTCs, One Iphone and one Sony, and a couple of Huaweis, I just bought a Galaxy S10 lite for my birthday. And I have to say Samsung still makes good phones. It runs so smooth, and the 6.7" amoled is just stunning and sharp. Camera is really good also
