I never got the whole fuss around them. Sure, at first when those platforms were young every upgrade was vital. By now it is mostly removing features + security updates.
I'm purposefully still running android 9 on my tab s5e because having ubuntu on my tablet is invaluable, it basically turns it into a mini laptop but 10 times more portable and touch friendly.
It's already scandalous that they do not offer the security upgrades separately. They are a seperate component and should be offering them for at least 5 years in ach and every device. Without them they basically force you to upgrade often. Most of the rest of the " upgrades" are a sham and would stay away if I could...

I even doubt that you're an engineer, no engineer would complain that they don't have the absolute latest software updates unless its really for a major improvement, even then they are much more comfortable with older stable releases, some of them even still using windows 7.... tell me, what are using that super early updates on iPad for?

I have the s7. Havent got anything yet, but neither i it is important other than security patch. this tab is my daily driver. I disabled things i dont want and so far it is snappy and pleasing to my eyes. Heyy but who knows maybe i am buckeyed
