AnonD-24597, 31 Aug 2012Find a place to hide droid fans we are going to roll..bring it on nokia. No dear, Nokia is not going to roll. Many people(include me) hates the UI of WP. If they will change it to be similar as on Windows Mobile, then great, I could buy a Nokia phone.
Could be the pics of white nokia 820 international verzion of it presented on on Nokia World on 5.9 in Helsinki and this pictures of coulrful nokias US verzions of same phone presented on same date in NY ? Just thinking
Stop blaming each other. Let MARKET decides which phone will stand with crown, even eliminates the worse one. MARKET naturally will chose the best, medium and even the worst phone.
Blackberry and Nokia are in critical path. Especially for Nokia, WP8/9 or so on wouldn't help much. See Android if you want to stand any longer.
well, if it has purview camera then i can accept 11mm thickness not more, and if not it should be 8-9mm like the competitors! i wonder when will microsoft support krait quadro-cores coz no body is using them in phones or RT tablets yet! LG are already using them in optimus G!

PureView can never be ported to Wp8. Its a development that spanned Five years with Symbian. Its too soon. Besides its nokia's patent so it would mean shearing secrets with windows.
Nokia might have something good here but there are a few things to consider:
WP8 needs app support. They need all the popular apps if it truly wants to compete against ios and android.
As for nokia, their quality build and design cannot be denied, but they need to step up their specs. people want HD screens, good power under the hood(new gen dual cores and gpu are a must) decent ram(1gig is the standard, any less and you loose). Combine that with pureview technology and Carl Zeiss optics and you have a phone that is a threat to any flagship out there. People buy iphones which have one of the most basic user interfaces out there, so metro UI could sell.
I don't know why people have narrow-minded thinking. Every OS and hardware has it's own strengths that differentiates them from the competition. What do we care about how many features droids have, ios have, and windows 8 have? it's a matter of preference btw.
iPhone for example have limited sets of features compared to android but the sales are great. Apple doesn't need to reach lower market segment for their sales.
I believe it's the differentiation they make and the experience and not on the features.

Again its battery life was poor, bad UI and bulky. I was disappointed and finally returned it back and replaced it with GS3. My co-worker also told me the same case.
Please don't bother Sony, Samsung or other vendors in this forum. Nokia lost its crown because they let themselves with WP while others moved on with Android. Let MARKET decides which smartphone is better.
I hope wp8 will earn some attention, cuz its nokia's last chance to recover. Nokia will be facing competion from samsung ativ s which has sole aim of declining nokia's market rather than beating nokia and even if wp8 fails, samsung has major android backup with note2 and s3. Hence its still a tough task for nokia.!!

I have to say after the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 2 - I was very impressed... and I still am...
I am, however, going to look at the 920 with interest..
It's a nice, bold phone... doubtful it will have xenon (I'd be 90% sold if it had)...
I think Nokia / WM8 are moving in the right direction... definitely should be 3rd OS by the end of next year at this rate...
I don't think it'll quite have the functionality of the Note 2, but it's an impressive start...
