What's the point of giving image samples if they're all over-saturated over-sharpened surreal photos? I can't tell anything at all about the photo quality.

Thing is at normal or near normal size they look fantastic and to me that matters more than what I see pixel peeping. I looked at some S21 same images at 100% and they looked like arse as well. Wait for a proper comparison.

I've noticed that when phones use Sony sensors they say "Sony's IMX..." and whatnot.
When it's a Samsung sensor it's just ISOCELL ....
Seems like the editors are shying away from mentioning Samsung or it sparks fuses.

those photos looked incredible at first glance, zooming in tells a different story though, Samsung level processing, shame because as snapshots they are very high quality indeed

Samsung keeps the ridiculous 108 because of more useless digital zoom.

Aldwin123, 20 Jan 2021I wish Samsung use their ISOCELL GN1 to their own smartphones.. at least for the S22 and S22+I so agree with you. The GN1 has the same physical sensor size as the HM1 and HM3 and yet it has a much bigger native or unbinned pixel size than either HM1 or HM3 and only needs to do a 4-in-1 Quad Bayer filter rearrangement. Much better than having a 108MP that needs to do a 9-in-1 Nona Bayer filter rearrangement. Megapixel numbers don't tell the whole story, that's for sure.
