I'm not that interested with the Xperia 1 ii's 4K screen and wireless charging in general, so the Xperia 5 ii is definitely the most underrated flagship I definitely want to own one.

After using a few of those (one without a ca... moreThat is why I still love Sony Xperia design including the most recent 1 ii and 5 ii and also the Google Pixel 3. It still looks fresh today, even with the bezel. If smartphone brands can bring back the 18:9 or 16:9 aspect ratio flat screen and utilize the bezel with a front-facing speaker, it would clearly be a solid winner.

At first I was a proponent of bezel-less devices. After using a few of those (one without a case, one with a case) I found out for myself that bezel-less device is just a gimmick. I'm fine with bezels as long as screen is large enough to use it and device size is small enough to use the device comfortably. An example of good bezel is a book reader - with small bezels you'll have to find a way to make the book levitate or hold it by the text. Or add white space and palm rejection which completely defeats the purpose of having smaller bezels. And eats battery, adds to device price, requires processing power to render those empty sides...
On the subject of cut-out for the fingerprint reader - bring it on! It makes even less sense than having small bezels, so lets up the absurdity level!

thats a huge punch hole and on a tablet its not necessary, just make the top bezel a bit thicker to avoid this abomination on tablets
