Mohamadafi Jazuli, 25 Jan 2021I'm a XZ1 Compact, XZ2 Compact, & 5 ii owner. And I really hate this. I just can'... moreTotally agree, this phone has very bad looking front and back cameras, kinda cheap, L series? seriously is this budget Xperia or they are making it flagship Compact? We are using Z5 Compacts and XZ1 Compacts in our fam.
Xperia Compacts always were flagship models and was really good looking phones, L series is joke! that is not flagship compact and no one will buy it, I will wait for 1 II or 5 II Compact.
P.S. that frond camera design is ridiculous and very cheap looking. GREAT ! My old Xperia ZL look much better and has almost the same screen2body ratio. This is very bad for us :(
This might be something I'd be interested to purchase, if they launch it here
Another useless phone from Sony, as usual. Probably it will cost 300EUR+, lol.
Incoming Sony fanboys to explain to us how an IP rating and oled screen are state of the art things and only because of this things the phone deserve a steep price tag. Lol.
Sony phones are so great and cheap, lol. That's why they have less than 1% market share.
Well, LG got the kick. Next HTC, Nokia and Sony. And is only their fault if this end up happening. They had so much power, influence and money and they didn't know what to do with them. When you fail time and time again, people will just move on and go to the competitors.
even wd sd 480 n 4gig ram this a winner 4 me, but sony the price ?wait for it
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2021Feel free to fire yourself asap :) That kind of battery size is impossible to cram into such ... more4000mAh on a 5.5 inch (19.5:9) screen phone is entirely possible, it has been actually done more than a few times.
AXZz-D, 25 Jan 2021Sorry but unless this is a sub 100£ phone this I unacceptable a sd480 that can barely do the basisSD480 has about the same power as SD660, GPU is even more powerful. Please, don't lie.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2021You certainly didn't use a better Android phone (not flagship). Because if you did you wi... moreI certainly used devices of both categories and therefore I can strongly disagree with you. Wake up, stop talking lies. I think you are useless.
AXZz-D, 25 Jan 2021Sorry but unless this is a sub 100£ phone this I unacceptable a sd480 that can barely do the basisI am sure you haven't used a phone with the sd 480. Sd 460 does the basics well already. I am sure the 480 will be an even better soc. if you aren’t satisfied buy a oneplus 8 pro

"Given that this phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack, it could very well be aimed at users on a budget rather than those looking for a compact Android flagship."
... uh ....
Let's just call this a very unfortunate commentary on the matter.
I mean anyone thinking this will be a flagship has problems
Look at the bezels and the design build and the cameras
This will be another expensive low end phone from sony who will never get it
Sony could make some money on this, if sold in so called developing world countries.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2021If it's low end device, is useless. Android low-end models are very laggy, average at bes... moreFirst of all, we aren't living in 2014 anymore where budget Android device lag during daily usage.
Anything above 150$ with 4gb RAM and above is perfectly smooth for day to day tasks.
Secondly, this isn't the old Snapdragon 460 based on cortex A73 architecture.
This one is based on cortex A76 architecture, so performance should be equivalent of a Snapdragon 6xx series or lower end 7xx series.
Might not be a budget phone. The render includes a dedicated camera button, which is normally not present on L-series. Looks more like a Xperia 10 III Compact, which would be pretty fine with OK SOC. If they include Sony sensors on the Wide and U-wide cameras it could be a nice phone. 5,5" OLED is super and still compact. Don't like the notch - would prefer some slim bezels like Xperia 1/5. Make in red, yellow, black and light grey.
