Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021Say that to the little kid who has an implant and doesn't know any better.Or... now bear with me... a small child who is not able to comprehend the ramifications of magnetic interference with their pacemaker should... I dunno... NOT BE PLAYING WITH MAGNETS. Let alone a smartphone. But that's none of my business.

Magsafe wireless on the iphone is stoopid..
Magsafe for macbook uses pogo pins and charges fast
Magsafe for iwatch uses pogo pins and charges fast
Magsafe for iphone should just use the pogo pin and away with the wireless..

Magnets makes wireless useless anyway.. You cannot simply pickup your charging phone the charger will stick to it until u separate both of them apart..

Shady69, 25 Jan 2021they are trying so hard to make wireless charging a common thing even tho its just overheating... moreI don't understand the point of magnets. It apparently is the reason why new iPhones can charge wirelessly at 18w but Huawei and Xiaomi have wireless charging at 65w without the use of any magnets whatsoever. You just put the charger down on the stand, no wires hanging from the phone. And won't interfere with pacemakers.

Amazing how they tried to sell it as a must have feature.

Furiounx, 25 Jan 2021You are 100% correct. Some people will find anything or anyone but themselves to blame. Well you have to remember the kind of people who use iphones....the simpletons of life are not always cognizant about what a smart is or what it can do. It is up to the Geniuses at apple to point this out before they have another issue on their hands...I mean how many smartphones nowadays have mini neodymium magnets inside the freaking frame for goodness sakes. Leave it to Apple I guess.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2021use of magnets should be avoided for many reasons (google to find out) i really dont see what ... morethey are trying so hard to make wireless charging a common thing even tho its just overheating phones and costs more than normal charging, people are speculating that the upcoming iphone (2022 or 2023) will be portless which will drive copycats like sammy to make it a thing as well.
apple already ships their macbooks with just 2 usb ports (no 4 ports option even you max its out in other specs) which also is a step into making them portless, even tho they are making a shitton of money from selling overpriced dongles

Most magnets interfere with pace makers, which is why it's up to pace maker recipients to be cognizant of the risks ALL magnets pose, not just iPhones. If a pace maker recipient already knows not to put a wallet with a magnetic cash clasp (example) in their breast pocket, then they damn well understand they shouldn't put a phone with a magnet accessory array in their breast pocket as well.

But this is GSMArena and ya'll would gladly read the headline "Man bludgeoned to death with an iPhone" and instinctively blame Apple.
