Imx555 and 557 are twins.
S20 cannot act like action camera like 5ii (not even with hdr off).
1 and 5 are dual pixel too.
Nowhere any close to 5ii AF level.

Better software support was because they had 3 or 4 devices per year.
Now under Lenovo, there is new phone every week just like Oppo and Xiaomi do.

Even when Sony removed the 3D ToF sensor for the Xperia 5 ii, I see no change in photo quality and overall camera experience between it and the Xperia 1 ii at all.

Also, ToF is more expensive.
Laser AF = single point
ToF = 43200 AF points (ToF made by Sony, I have no info on samsung's ToF)

I‘m surprised by the price. It’d be nice if they also gave some software support. Imagine if they were still Google owned and this would have the pixel launcher, gcam and support up to Android 13 out of the box.
