Well the fake pics...what an idiotic move. But the real pics showing the low light performance were very impressive!!
Xiao Ti, 07 Sep 2012Samdung/lagdroid fanboy here is just as insecure as ever.
>> New iPhone? Okay, lets bas... moreThere are many more Androids out there than the crappy S3. LG Optimus 4x is overall a bettre device for all users. Motorola RAZR MAXX is better for non-heavy phone gamers.
Using words as "lagdroid", is plain childish. If you've experienced a laggy Android, it has nothing to do with the system itself, but the launcher - which is user replaceable. That said, when manufacturers do make their own versions, they should be equally smooth as the 3rd party launchers that work smoothly on just about any phone (LauncherPro, TSF, ADW etc.)
The Lumia 920 will compete with such phones as the new Motorola RAZR HD
Quick summary of the two:
Nokia 920 vs RAZR HD
4.5" TFT HD screen vs 4.7" SAMOLED HD screen - RAZR wins by size and tech
2000mAh vs 2530mAh battery - RAZR wins (3300mAh in HD MAXX)
Bluetooth 3.0 vs bluetooth 4.0 - RAZR wins
WP8 vs. Android - RAZR wins by most peoples opinion
32GB internal, no SD slot vs 12GB internal (32GB im MAXX) and SD slot - RAZR wins
Equal screen protection - Gorilla glass
RAZR HD is also more compact and built in Kevlar and aluminium, not just aluminium. The RAZR HD will also have SplashGuard(Nano coating).
I have nothing against WP. I hoped it would be more customizable then ti turned out to be. A WP8 device, then can be docked in something like Motorola's Lapdock and/or Asus' padfone dock, would be briliant if it could then start running windows RT when docked - IF Windws RT gets many apps like programs for Windows 8.
Why did the thread go this long anyways...
The point is plain and simple...
If the photo showed by nokia was generally accepted as the truth and you bought the phone because of those photo samples, wouldn't you be pissed if no matter how hard you tried you never manage to shoot a photo that is close or on par with those samples.
At least when apple fans say that their OS is snappier than android, I believe them cause it is generally true at least for the moment.
But if your company is showing off the technology of the camera of your latest phone, it would be best to present the actual result, not a fake one, cause it will definitely hurt you a lot specially if it was discovered.
Boy I'd hate to be the genius who came up with THIS bright idea of showing off fake pix and videos...
...and hoping the public wouldn't notice!
ics, 07 Sep 2012I really think it was a marketing issue. Everybody is speaking about Nokia (which would hve no... moregood for nokia. everyone now talking about fake photo and footage but the actual camera of lumia 920 is capable of doing those fake things. Brilliant!
Samdung/lagdroid fanboy here is just as insecure as ever.
>> New iPhone? Okay, lets bash this overpriced iThing to the kingdom come!
>> New Lumia? WP sucks, lagdroid is the best lalala I can't hear youuu.
Deep down in their heart, they know that this thing is a new dangerous threat to their uninspiring, fugly, SGS3. Oh well, good luck with your trolling guys ;)
Til gsmarena show full resolution comparison we wont now how good or bad it is, just wait til full review
I really think it was a marketing issue. Everybody is speaking about Nokia (which would hve not happened without this case) and anyway the conclusion was that is has a good camera and other features like wiress charging, super screen etc so I think that mirror and the refexion was intended to be there. Just think about it.
[deleted post]when you want to buy something firstly enquire about the negatives if there are negatives they will automatically develope into real pictures.and not the fake ones.
lucz, 07 Sep 2012whatever happens, nokia is still the King coz it shared advance technology in the history of s... morewhat kind of king gives an apology and to who, no people left for the king to rule. enough said
Each and every hater out there...
Please check before you comment, since we already have proofs for the Lumia 920's awesome camera out there, be it YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFhhBJ1URCg
and a pic from that challenge: Lumia 920 against Galaxy SIII http://www.dailymobile.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Lumia-920-vs-GS3-500x371.png
or Damain Dinning himself confirming the reality of pictures at http://www.nokia.com/global/products/pureview/ over here https://www.twitter.com/PhoneDaz
And that its not Gsmarena's mistake, they just followed a blog and did some analysis for the pics out there. Just that and mentioned it out there. And now they have also removed the objectionable content and now its quite simple.
And Nokia never mentioned that the pic (1st one here at Gsmarena's post) was captured by Lumia. That was just meant for demonstration purposes only. Just like that PureView Video that generated a lot of confusion.
So please everyone, stop blaming either Nokia or Gsmarena!!! Its over...
Nokia is really in the doldrums. They obfuscated the launch of their phone and their whole approach was nigh on meretricious.
Well, Samsung can kick-out bloggers from the event but gsmarena or cnet can't even show this and support them.mean while after the release they while make a review of lumia 920 we can know the truth/innovation of nokia.till then trollers wait
You can watch this video, lumia 920 camera still rocks better than iphone 4s and samsung III
Guys do you remember nokia n8 ! What biggest site said bad about nokia n8 ! but still nokia n8 kicked all blackberry devices and a lot android devices ! Even n8 camera kicked android high end devices like galaxy s3 one x xperia s ! Still n8 rocking
