Paulw, 14 Feb 2021I hope you're storing these photos in the cloud as well. I've had SD cards go bad.. You probably got fake SD cards that is quite common online. I still got a working Original Sandisk 8GB from the 2010s. Still working good albeit slow being a class 6, but still can hold full capacity as backup.
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2021For now, 128GB is enough while 64GB is minimum But for long usage, 256GB is a must 32GB ... moreAgree with your comment...had a 64GB phone as a daily driver and the storage became nearly full
Apps tend to become bloated overtime so indefinitely storage needs gonna grow too!
I play a lot of games but the 256gb of my asus rog phone 3 has been fine so far.
I'm only using 100GB and I downloaded wikipedia offline (30GB)
For now, 128GB is enough while 64GB is minimum
But for long usage, 256GB is a must
32GB get killed off easily with few updates
Hanif Fikri, 14 Feb 2021Its too risky storing my files without sd card. What if my phone broke? sd will survive...I hope you're storing these photos in the cloud as well. I've had SD cards go bad..
James, 14 Feb 2021Phones with a grand price tag should have a minimum 512GB of internal storage. Not because it ... moreI have high resolution porn on my phone to the size of 280gb..so 512gb is acceptable, if you like good porn.. And who doesn't, right?!
I don't like deleting stuff, I prefer buying more storage, my pc is at 10tb, phone is now at 256gb SD, if everyone begins sharing media with no compression telegram alone will need 1tb, i hope we can agree 4k60 hdr should be the norm
People who can't rely on their Internet connection may need to store more on their devices. That reliance may be related to affordablility of bandwidth. I remember from earlier discussions that mobile data in Canada come at a premium compared to where I live (the Netherlands, Europe).
64GB is more than enough for me, honestly.
I have a 2 TB external hard drive haven't filled up yet. I probably still have 100+ GB left as I deleted some stuff I will never watch again. We have so much content that we may never listen, watch, read, or play again. It will just stored some memory card never to be seen again.

Spectrum TV
Pluto TV
Airy TV
Netflix

Peacock
Pandora
Why do I need to store all my files locally when they're stored on Google Photos or I can just stream my different content?
Memory cards are going to be obsolete the way VHS, DVDs, or any physical media. Everything is in the cloud now. Just go online and access it.
Memory cards are only useful to gamers like people who own a Nintendo Switch. Then I see no issues getting a 1 TB card.
I voted 64 GB - 128 GB because my Pixel 3 and Essential Phone are 128 GB but I can honestly live with only 32 GB.
I think Pixel users will have unlimited storage for the rest of our lives. At least Pixels bought before this year's editions. Most of mt content is already stored there. I estimate about only 80-100 GB were uploaded.
With Google Photos + streaming apps, I really don't need that much unless many of my music is a high bit rate or if plan to game a lot. Like Genshin Impact will eat up 8 GB alone.
Regarding Build Quality & R/W Speed and also Photo/Video Quality and Games/Movies Scale,
There is an absolute Need For +1TB-Internal.
Now I satisfy myself With S21 Ultra 512 and 12 Pro Max 512. Next 3 years 4K@120fps or 8K@60fps needs more than that.
Using Mi 8 with 6/64 and the storage is enough, because I have thousands of photos compressed to 25% per dimensity and cropped quality to 75% - the photos doesn't lose their quality noticeable (without zooming), but they loses ~ 99% of size. I have in about 100 uncompressed photos prepared for printing, but others I view sometimes. There should be easy transfer method with compression tools inside.
It's not just about cheaper upgrade options. I like the comfort in knowing that if my device hits the bucket, my files are still safe.
I'm really hoping Samsung only removed the microSD slots this year because they're planning to bring back external storage in their flagship phones via their own faster UFS cards.
I have been using a phone with 64gb storage + 64gb micro sd card for the last 2 years and so far I was never full.
I can say I have many junk data on my card like episodes of TV shows I only watch once or pics I download online only to show that one friend, even than I was never worried about storage
128GB is enough for ne
64GB is adjustable but will run into problems for long term use
