kkt. voi nu aveti minte. i mean you don't think what you said.. samsung is infront of apple!
iphone consists of 26% of samsung manufactured parts. and i'm sure majority of the other apple products as well. so it may slow down the production
Clearly, Apple is compromising. They are moving away from Samsung because of distrust, not because of the quality of components (otherwise they would have done so before).
Unfortunately, this stupid dispute is bad for Apple, because they face the need to use potentially inferior products; for iOS customers, for getting a slightly inferior product, and for Samsung as a company, for the lack of sales, which means less money for a company that plays R&D heavily (which, by consequence, means somewhat less money to create great Android phones).
Everyone loses. I lose, he loses, *YOU* lose. We all lose.
Another unneeded stupid outcome in The Patent Wars.
Notice everytime Apple article always generate a lot of comments from both haters and Apple lovers.
Seem like Apple still popular!
samsung is dumb...they rather spend millions n millions fighting apple, rather than work out a compromise deal regarding patents row.....which company in the world will still be buying so many chips ????........but looks like samsung would rather sell less, and apple rather buy elsewhere
hehe google is a father of all competitor... google rockxxxxx with samsung..
American are so unfair, the A5 chip samsung makes for the iphone is made in texas..the iphone is not even made in the US. if samsung lose american jobs will.

This is bad for Samsung in the sense that they are losing a large client and therefore potential yearly revenues, not to mention its competitors, Toshiba, Elpida and Hynix, would be doing improving sales. When you say "Samsung can now make more for their own products", you seem to be assuming that Samsung is essentially being limited in manufacturing products because components are in short supply since they being sent to other components. As for Apple, having "enemies" is not necessarily bad, it's competition which is good for the market. Since Apple is reducing its component orders from Samsung, this can both be good or bad. Good in the sense that, Toshiba, Elpida and Hynix would want dealings with Apple and may be willing to sell components slightly cheaper than what Samsung is currently selling it. However, it can be bad for apple if its new supplier's component quality is not up to par. If quality is bad, this is increase breakdown of Apple products, resulting in bad feedback, loss of customers, increased warranty liability, etc.

Apple has decided to attack them to help society by curing it from the insufferable disease I like to call SGS (Samsung & Google Sindrome)... hopefully they can be successful.
Sammsung does not only provide flash memory chips to Apple . They are also the one and only manufacturer of the Axx SoC's .
Apple may look elsewhere for memory chips , but the last time they tried to find someone else to manufacture the Axx chips , they failed miserably .
I am glad this is happening. Samsung can now make more for their own products. I think both Sammy & Apple had there own benefits and leanings from each other. Apple has two big enemies now Sammy & Google...not very healthy for any company to grow enemies but long term all this is not good to any one.
