AnonD-43315, 09 Sep 2012The fact is that Samsung simply manufacturing the A4, 5, 5X and 6 processors for Apple all the... moreThis is really a bad idea because sooner or later Sharp, LG & Toshiba will betray Apple because they're also smartphone & tablet PC manufacturers.
Apple should find US suppliers like Texas Instruments or National Semi-conductor to make those CPU chips.
In addition, Apple should manufacture all the iDevices & PC in USA so that Apple does not have to depend on Asian contract manufacturers like FOXXCON or Conta.
The fact is that Samsung simply manufacturing the A4, 5, 5X and 6 processors for Apple all these years without knowing what's inside the AX architectures... They blindly did it all these years because of the millions they are getting from Apple... But this time during the integration of the new iPhone, Apple testers found that there is a drastic degradation in the built quality of A6 processor which is incorporated in the iPhone 5 engine board, which will affect the optimum performance of the upcoming iDevices (iPhone and iPad mini)... In fact Samsung cheated Apple and they realized it too late and Apple don't want to take risk furter... So they are moving forward for Toshiba, Sharp, Sony, LG etc for the new iParts and not for Samsung :)

Apple has only cut down the orders for new iphone but they still having orders for the old ones. New iphone chipset and ARM CPU will still be manufactured at Samsung.
Apple still need Samsung in anyway.
Seriously arent you guys getting sick of all this nonesense?Use what suits you best, not what others have. Common sense unless you dont have a brain.
[deleted post]Apple's philosophy is that the best technology is invisible, and simply allows a user to achieve what he/she wants. This is why a huge amount is spent on R&D to produce the best designs possible, while staying minimalistic and timeless. The MacBook design is a prime example of this, remaining unchanged for YEARS, even though the internals change and are upgraded. This is simply unheard of for rival brands. Yet users are happy, because the initial investment by Apple created a laptop that looks nice even today.
The smartphone world changes at a faster pace, but Apple's philosophy allows it to evolve at a calmer pace, as iPhone users concentrate on the key to iOS, which is apps.
Android manufacturers are not allowed this luxury, because they all share the same OS and thus are ony able to differentiate themselves using hardware. This results in of course, innovation as well, but at too rushed a pace, risk alienating users who have to keep looking round the corner as their current phone rushes to obsolescence.

Samsung for sure will take over Apple to become No.1 smartphone and tablet pc in the world in very soon.

Apple doesnt invent anything.. they just PUT ideas together and buys all... moreYour comment is exactly the problem with a lot of haters comments. Innovation does NOT necessarily mean inventing.
You put it perfectly yourself. Apple puts together existing things. The difference between good and bad innovation is in how well one can put together things.
The best solar car in the world does not mean having to invent solar panels, one engineering team could simply buy the best solar panels on the market, yet produce an excellent solar car, through great design reducing drag, using the best way to save energy, finding light yet tough materials to reduce weight etc.
This is Apple's strength, and what others in the industry try to emulate.
samsung is toast once the Lumia 920 and iphone 5 hit stores. Nokia will only go from strength to strength from here on in.
.hey apple makes just one design only.0thers having a hard time making inn0vating designs.haha
truth, 09 Sep 2012Thumbs up to Steve Jobs for what he did to Apple and thumbs down to Tim Cook for what he is tr... moreNo, elveryone in apple knowed, Tim Cook was a much better person than the tyrants Steve Jobs.
The reason apple is going downward and less popularity now was because the people around the world hated the evilness started by the bad Steve. It is also because apple device are bad quality, the result after they choosed to skimp parts quality by using other brand than Samsung.
Iphone is basically 60% Samsung and 30% LG. No wonder they're cutting back.
If Samsung or other manufacturers are making certain parts for Apple, do remember that they (Apple's suppliers) are making to Apple's design and specs. It's Apple who'll call the shots anyway.
It has become very clear that Apple is too much afraid to compete SAMSUNG, that's why they are adpoting all ways of fighting. Instead of this they should behave like a businessman and compete with SAMSUNG by adding more value to their product.
Apple needed three companies to negotiate for their DRAM and NAND memory chip and Sharp and LG for their screens. For batteries they contacted Panasonic and another manufacturer in China. Before them alone Samsung had managed to manufacture in such a great volume. Samsung has the largest manufacturing plant in the world.

Apple doesnt invent anything.. they just PUT ideas together and buys all the parts from someone else... Samsung ACTUALLY makes chipsets and what not..
Apple has always made the best handset in its class...after all, no one else makes a better midrange handset and markets it so well. The secret is aesthetics and nothing else, comparison of the technology shows that the iPhone is consistently 1-2 years behind the flagship handsets of Samsung and HTC. However, Samsung and HTC chose to use the latest technology over the superior build quality of the less technologically advanced Apple iPhone.
