when they first released they are optimised for everything but after a year it'll just become to slow
sa11oum, 23 Feb 2021WOW! Welcome to 2013, Samsung users!Do you say the same to iPhone users for not having an AOD or 1440p screen?
Tech Ninja, 25 Feb 2021Lexus? In this regard, yes, in others, I need more muscle and class 😎😉
Samsung should also increase dimming PWM frequency of displays to at least 1 kHz. 240 Hz is useless.
Matt James Paradise, 24 Feb 2021Nah. The difference between phones is much more marginal. It's more like Toyota or Lexus.Okay, have it your way, Lexus all day. 😊
Excellent move, Samsung! I have Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy Tab S5e. No need to replace them during the following two years unless batteries get in a bad condition. ;)
What's with these car analogies? Phone tech enthusiasts are not necessarily into cars so stop pulling out car brands to make your point.

Take Galaxy Note 10 as an example. It launched around Sep 2019, so will it get security patches until 2022 (2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022)? OR will the one year starts to count after one full year of launching, in this case it will get patches until 2023?
Did SAMSUNG mentioned this? Thanks.

So yeah, I'd still rather rock a flagship for 6 years than anything low / mid end any day but hey, to each their own..💯

OhNom, 23 Feb 2021I have not seen anything about that and they recently announced that they were going to offer ... moreIt's official since August 2020 and news in all technology websites...

Inam, 23 Feb 2021This is the only way, Samsung can sell its phones,
Their phone specs are low and price is ... moreAnd it a better way. And they won't be expensive for long, with vendor that start also raising the selling price such as OnePlus and Xiaomi, this software model will work for the better in the long run.
And I rather stick with security update with unstable, battery depleting OS update. How many time you see at any given brand, complain new OS update crash, unstable, battery drain and hope they could rollback?
