No surprise with Celeron, it's not even capable of multi-tasking. That is why I always avoid using Google Chrome on a Celeron-powered Windows laptop, it doesn't have enough power to store all the memory used.

Mine is a celeron btw and can't run edge at a usable state, and running with at least another app simultaneously (PDFs take like 10 minutes to open). And yes, I use the chromium version and it says that it's the latest version

Heck, I even have to deal with a 2014 Intel Pentium CPU and a traditional 500GB HDD. And yet, Chromium Edge use way less memory than Chrome. Heck, it even opens much quicker than Chrome.

Shame on the developers for not optimizing applications for all types of computers
Minu, 15 Mar 2021No doubt Edge is RAM consuming as wellHaha, NO! While the new Edge is based on Chromium, Microsoft has taken away every single Google-related element from it. I can easily vouch for the performance as I have even tried using both Chromium Edge and Chrome on my brother's laptop with a paltry Intel Celeron CPU and 4GB RAM, and the former was MILES faster and more memory-efficient than the Chrome.
YUKI93, 14 Mar 2021Chrome for Windows is amazing? Lol please, not that RAM-consuming browser cancer. No doubt Edge is RAM consuming as well

YUKI93, 14 Mar 2021Chrome for Windows is amazing? Lol please, not that RAM-consuming browser cancer. It depends how many tabs you open and how much ram you have. For me 8GB ram is enough. I open 30 tabs maximum. My laptop is ten years old. Chrome works good.

Good. I'll never use other browser. Chrome is the best for full Google experience.
EC, 13 Mar 2021Wait, it must has minimum 8GB or RAM????? Thanks Google, and Shoot GoogleWish those developers make this for phones under 6GB RAM, much better if this was for those very slow "Android go"phones
