Come on iFans, it's OK to have sense of humor here a chuckle as well.
And for those iFans who can't or refuse to see the funny side - pretend that this is true and intentionally designed this way by Apple and all will be OK.
I know for a fact that if Apple claim such a feature as this it will make iSJ5 even more rabidly loyal!
mrcer1, 23 Sep 2012Who needs casing anyway. Use a case. It's stupid to leave your phone bare anyway. Apple should... morePlus what would be the use of all the "thinnest and lightest"whatever if your just gonna wrap it up like a turtle?
Casing are cool (mostly) but I for myself ended up annoyed by the rubber used on it that makes it hard to get my phone in and out of my jeans. Only iPhone users have to use a case which implies that the iPhone are NOT DURABLE.

what's the fuss, i't doesn´t look bad, the important thing is that is premium and i want that.
rcl4444, 23 Sep 2012Oh please. Guys, give credit where credit's due or at least be realistic and own up to shortco... moreSamsung delayed releasing the blue S3 because of the back cover problems, so the phones aren't made from the best materials but at least they double check quality before releasing them.
But obviously Apple were more interested in keeping to their schedule than making sure everything worked.
Tom-Helge, 23 Sep 2012And someone REALLY wonder on why many prefers plastic on the phones over glass and aluminum?
... moreOh please. Guys, give credit where credit's due or at least be realistic and own up to shortcomings - don't be like some of those blind iFans who refuse to recognise or admit their is not perfect.
One of my (and many others) biggest issues with my SGS1,2 & 3 has been the plastic shell. My sister's S8500 Wave with metal shell has been through hell and still holding up.
If Samsung had produced the S1,2 & 3 in metal while retaining the thinness and lightness of each then not only would most current owners be happier, it would attract additional owners.
So Grats to Apple for doing it, though pity they didn't use a stronger metal and haven't sorted out quality control as well as they claimed in their launch promo.
And lets not forget our Pebble Blue GS3 had colour issues at launch, so we are in our own 'glass house' as well and 'shouldn't throw stones'!
Here's hoping Samsung gives us a GS4 with a hardened light metal alloy (magnesium) or maybe carbon fibre composite shell that manages quality, strength, thinness, lightness and solid colour.
Apple are probably gonna say they meant to have it's coating fall off and just call it "Apple Peel" which is a patented new feature that no other phone does.
Who needs casing anyway. Use a case. It's stupid to leave your phone bare anyway. Apple should ship every iphone with a case. Or better yet, just make them with a built on case. I've never in my life seen someone using his iphone without a case anyway.
it shows they r just intrested in money not in quality.... 16GB Costs around £590 in uk, Do u think it worth it along the damages.......it really sucks
It just looks like Apple were so desperate to have the thinnest and the lightest possible phone they stripped everything to the basics and end up with this kind of crap happening.
And if bits are falling off straight out the box just imagine what compromises they made to make the thing so thin and what might go wrong in the future.
Tom-Helge, 23 Sep 2012And someone REALLY wonder on why many prefers plastic on the phones over glass and aluminum? ... moreSorry, but this is Apples fault, Anodised Aluminium is great for mobiles. The Nokia N8 had a great finish, and didn't have any scratches or dints out of the box. In fact, it was very durable and much better than cheap plastic.
And someone REALLY wonder on why many prefers plastic on the phones over glass and aluminum?
LOL, here you have the proof on why we do prefer plastic on our phones.
It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.
