Maybe they based the cover on these watches concept?
hey, it's meant to be like that so that Apple can prove AGAIN there excellent customer support 'replacement policy'..they did the same with the antenna and battery issue..remember? THAT'S Apple!

Are you telling us there are so many people can't tell a SGS1 from a iphone 3? Just the same way some actually thought that the iphone design was copied from samsung F430 and D980?
yeah... Apple brought so much new stuffs to the consumer... When more and more of them are copied off Android and BB... The same thing deliver by Android and BB are taken for granted, whereas when copied by apple everyone took it for innovation.

You're not storing it right :))
Nothing an original Apple case won't fix. And because that's magical too it's yours for only 30$ extra.

Denzo, 23 Sep 2012Hey, more valid points you are a making. But in regards firstly to the attacking nature of App... moreumm, sir, did you not know that apple used samsung tech. to come up with the iphone?its apple that is being greedy and almost childish, they are burning bridges with one of the companies that agreed to lend a helping hand with the development of the orig. iphone.
Denzo, 23 Sep 2012Hey, more valid points you are a making. But in regards firstly to the attacking nature of App... morelooks like we are taking up too much real estate on this thread :) at least we can do it without cursing or attacks ;-) thanks for not resorting to such childing behavior.
to be brief
1) yes i do believe what i said, plenty of advertising out there to back that up. and you are right both sides are guilty of childish 'he started it first' attitude.
2) you dont see TV manufacturers suing each other because one comes out with a thin tv or 'frameless' bezel. they just get on with it and give the market what they want. the toyota prius brought an eco awareness to consumers buying cars. does that mean nobody else had the right to come up with hybrid cars or more econical variants? absolutely not, but it did speed up the industries ability to come up to speed. This is something iphone has done and should be proud of - so how about that as an advertising spin - 'we revolutionised the industry' , it has forced other manufacturers come up to speed with consumer demands. now there is choice, now a consumer can purchase within their price constraints.
not everyone can shell out $800.00 on a phone. Alternatively some want a smaller phone, or a phanblet/phoneblet whatever its called. Its spawned choice and variety, something which is always positive.

Like when my brothers iPod died after a couple of months, & apple support tried to tell him that he must have dropped it. Took ages to get the replacement.

But in regards firstly to the attacking nature of Apples marketing.. I mean I cant tell if your a kidding around or not? Samsung is the one who has come out at Apple in full force with commercials about the next best thing already being here? They are fighting just as hard as Apple cause its dog eat dog. I dont know why people such as your self make up these things in your head, for example you say Apple see themselves as this tremendous, omnipotent power? really? you really believe that?
I dont think you do. I think its a simple case of Android users being a larger group, and the whole electronics mobile thing becoming almost a new religion, seen as though so many people are not religious anymore, they focus on stupid things like trolling for fun.
Apple is a company in my eyes which came out with stuff when no one else did.
I still remember the first time I saw someone at my work (in a bank) with anew iPod (the original!) and I was like yeah whatever.. then she showed me and I was like dayum they are nice - so easy to use! There was nothing else like it. Nothing. There was some cool MP3 players at the time.. but they were all garbage in comparison.
Then I remember the first iPhone, I didnt buy one for ages, I actually had the N95 8GB. It was until the 3G when I broke. iPod, iPhone, internet all in one.
No one did this like Apple. No one had a home page with icons for app launch.
Then Miraculously the SGS1 comes out, it looks exactly the same ( a little bigger, all plastic) but to my mum and dad, they thought it was the same phone. Even my sister. People bought it though, cause it was cool ( after all it was proven black and white that everyone, including the CEO of Samsung, people at Google, etc had issued warnings of the copying nature of the design of the SGS1 but this was ignored as the Korean power wanted to beat Apple so bad.. so Bad.
And then they got sued, and fined.
I dont know why you, and others, see Apple as some sort of tyrant omnipotent power, but you don't see Samsung as a dirty rat who copied and is without their own ideas.
Crazy world.. you cant have it one way, and not the other.
Now, I'm more convinced to get the Samsung S3 tomorrow. Won't wait for the iPhone5 anymore.... Bye Apple
U know Nokia Lumias have the same problem...oh no wait!..it doesn't ...hahaha
Shock for all the iphone buyers and now what will apple do ,will they try to make a software to resolve this issue as they have did with their previous phones ha ha ha ha........
Denzo, 23 Sep 2012I see your point but you also are attacking another brand. And while we are being honest with ... moreIP5 definately has improved in durability no doubt seems though the difference between the best example of this phone and the worst are very far apart.
We are talking about a drop test at 6ft which is a great effort. In reality though, anybody buying a phone of this expense whether IP5, SG3, OneX etc etc would no doubt show their device the proper care and respect it needs.
But to digress a little, this is coming from the company that claims it is the all superior, all knowing and omnipotent power. It has spent its last 5 years being the exact company it was fighting against in the 80's with its early battles with microsoft. Today they claim they are the best, they smear their competition, they pervert whats considered innovation and needlessly litigate to eliminate competition where outside of the US has all but been thrown out. And you need to be able to back your bite when you go out there and make such claims.
By staking such claims they have basically opened the door to all types of cynics, nitpickers and opponents alike to 'go to town' on the inabilities of the IOS platform and this weeks issues with the end finish of new phones. My original post quite clearly mentioned that there is a phone out there for everyone, irrespective of maker but the apple marketing juggernaut maybe needs to take a slightly less attacking approach to their competition and focus on their own product for once.
