OnePlus sells much more... moreYes, i agreed with you. Midrange CPU nowadays really powerfull for most people (Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter, Browsing, Docs). The only thing flagship win only in camera section. Thats why we never seen a midrange devices with flagship camera.
From my experienced flagship CPU always has throttle issues. So i will stick with mid to high range CPU rather flagship CPU.

OnePlus sells much more phones since OP7 than they were selling before.
Mi11 is gonna sell more than K40 Pro/Pro+.
It is much better to make a complete phone with midrange CPU than removing features from flagships just to keep SD888 and 8/12GB ram.
Most popular android of 2020: Galaxy A51 4G, announced for more than $400. The price you buy Redmi K30 Pro, Vivo iqoo, Oppo Reno.

Then, when they tried to sell G6 & G7, a lot of their customers had moved on to Samsung/Apple due to the nasty bootloops of the mentioned models.
You can go check the LgG5 subreddit if you dont believe me
LG will be back. i dont think this will be the end more of a time out to re group. LG have made some awesome mobiles in the past the G2 been a personal favourite. Hope they manage to work out what they were doing so wrong that other mobile phone makers are doing right.

But there are technologi... moreDon't forget the software that was canned during Xperia Z2 / Z3 Compact and so on ... That's why consumer didn't bought anymore (and the lack of publicity or availability / reasonnable price) :P
I'd just change strategy in their place - flagship killer devices at half the price. Xiaomi, OnePlus started from that point and are pretty damn successful at this point.
And I was really hoping to see G8, V60 successors with better cameras, 120hz refresh rate screens. And, maybe, slightly lower prices and MUCH better availability.
Sad to say we all knew this was coming.
Ive had the pleasure (and displeasure) of using quite a few Lg phones : optimus Vu, G Pro 2, G3, G4, V20, G5, and last was G6, i even got G Flex 2 and stylus2 (these last 2 didnt even last me a week) - however their poor after sales service and recently, the scarcity of availability is their downfall.
My G3 and G4 both had bootloop issues, and the Flex 2 was just too slow for its price. And then later on, its like LG abandoned their international users and they just decided not to sell their phones where Im at - i havent even seen a shadow of their latest phones in the last 2 or 3 years so even if im intrigued by some of them, theres just nowhere to find them.
Lets just agree to disagree that theres no way they can compete with the now bigger phone manufacturers nowadays, they were sadly left behind. And to be honest, this decision may probably be for the better.
miss lg for its capture plus ability, lg has cons in old phones i have, like deleting of picture is without warn message. i don't know good brand, Sony? Xiaomi? BBK? Samsung?
Anonymous, 01 Apr 2021You forgot the king - Xiaomi Not really, I had several product from Xiaomi since 2013 and now with their expansion, when you see the price outside China ... They want Huawei place but I must say that I have hope in Mi 11 Ultra even if the size is huge. But you are right, I should have quoted them :D
Not surprising. Their phones are overpriced for what they are, the software support is almost nonexistent and marketing even worse. The devices are ok, I've owned plenty in the past but they aren't worth the premium they charged for them.
Would make sense though...thing is - LG Mobile has been mismanaged for so long now. Their latest attempt with LG Wing was a total failure. Thinking outside of the box with different form - BIG YES. 12 year old, double screen swivel design branded as new and placed on equal with flexible displays - BIG NO! Basically mid range insides sold for $1000 at launch - HUGE NO! Person(s) running decisions at LG Mobile don't understand, that with market share less 2%, inferior specs and reused designs - you cannot go up against well established brands like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi etc. But they kept banging their heads against the wall over and over for years now. Could be an April Fools joke, but I won't be surprised if this will actually happen soon.
If they produced products that people actually wanted to buy, then maybe things would be different. Maybe nobody at LG though so on the last few years...

LG spent years throwing things at the wall to see what would stick - the G4, G5 and G6 - while everybody else was refining their products. It's amazing that a large corporation didn't seem to have a plan, but it seems that is how it was.

Did their battery explode like Samsung Note 7? or do their phones bend easily? No, tell me, what's so bad?
I guess marketing power actually disillusions a naive customer... subconsciously.
The problem is, you can't get a LG phone, you have to go on a city wide hunt for it, and even official showrooms trouble you till they get stocks... I had to go through hell lot of trouble to get my G8x and it was worth the trouble.
I've waited for this all my life haha lol.. I know I may sound like an LG hater but I'm not.. let's be honest, LG smartphones are ugly and too expensive af.. now one wants to buy a big bezel phone in 2021, and I know nobody definitely wants a phone with "wings" it's just useless.

LG went all in on LCD and that was the end of that.
Lesson to learn for other manufactures: When Apple comes pouring honey lotion into your ears, run! They'll end your business and take all the money.

Same like HTC and N... moreI can only say that just because intelligent breed is getting rare, it doesn't mean they don't deserve a manufacturer who caters to them.
Loving my G8x's audio output every moment, every day. Thank you for your unsolicited opinion anyways.
I'm sure some Samsung and Apple fanboys who never try other brands (no matter how logical it is) might appreciate it more.
