That's very good news, less chipsets is less defragmentation and Qualcomm will get more focus from devs. screw Exynos too plz.
ithehappy, 26 Sep 2012I love this news. Those overhyped developers will be pissed now, that's what I love.Over hyped developers? Obviously someone is a troll
Isn't that good? The new nexus will have a qualcomm and its krait CPUs just rock :D
ithehappy, 26 Sep 2012I love this news. Those overhyped developers will be pissed now, that's what I love.If you're an Exynos user, don't blame the devs. Blame the designer = Samsung. And then blame yourself for supporting reduced competition in ARM SoCs from now on.
TI left the true mobile SoC business years ago.
Just as the OMAP was not a true mobile SoC (no modem), neither are the Exynos or crApp£€ "A" that are mentioned in the article.
Sod Qualcomm -- ST-Ericsson will come to save the day with true SoCs, and it's tiime their solutions were better adopted in the market.
the sooner the better. a company which already lost its competetiviness should quit. I don't see the future for TI. Apple? Samsung? HTC? none of these three use TI. It's a wise decision.

motorola might be knowing this earlier..
thats why they moved on to qualcomm with their new phones
You mean they make things besides calculators? LMAO... Those calculators kick ass.
Think you'll find apple dont develop chips. The A6 is a SAMSUNG chip not an Apple one!!!!!!!!
I don't understand why Gsmarena didn't write which phones run on Texas Instruments Chipset. Example the Optimus L9 has Texas Instruments, and they didn't say it. Why?
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2012Qualcomm s4 pro krait did better than s3 exynosThen why Qualcomm Krait lags and Exynos doesn't lag and boot faster
TI OMAP are very good chips and are developer's friendly ... sadly to hear that
OMAP Processors were higher performing SoC's than their equivalent Qualcomm competition. I for one will be sad not to see OMAP 5 powered phone...
Now in wondering what the next nexus phone will use
OMAP5 was top of my list
