sq2013, 30 Apr 2021Seriously? Do you think anyone gaming on it is god I wish that punch hole wasn't there? ... moreThe issue is mainly that, Gaming phones were basically the almost single way to get a phone without those punch holes/notches.
And there are already not a lot of them per years...
Here is the extent of notchless/holeless Android phones this year :
https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2021&sOSes=2&idDisplayNotch=1
And of 2020 :
https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2020&nYearMax=2020&sOSes=2&idDisplayNotch=1
Note that it include multiple times identical phones and model variant, such as the Legion Pro and Duel, K30 Pro and Poco F2 Pro, Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro, etc, but also weird/unknown/non-popular brands like Tecno, CAT, Gionee?, Yezz??
And even there you can count the Huawei Mate Xs, the Microsoft Surface Duo, and even the Oppo Watch who sneaked into the list.
And if you watch carefully, the Gionee K6 have a notch, and the LG Wing is super niche.
Once you filter out all that, there isn't much to choose from, mainly considering that those who don't like pop up, or prefer them see the list cut into half, and let's not even talk about the fact most are entry range, and even less about other features, as here we are only talking about a single one, which is non-butchered displays...
For some it is much more than a mild annoyance, for some it can't be unseen, and for me the issue isn't even only cosmetic, is the fact that the display is more expensive because of the hole, it has a SIGNIFICANT impact on the notification bar, much more than many realize :

And we were about to have amazing front sensors :
https://www.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/nexus2cee_Sensors.png
But we lost all that for a single camera and nothing else.
All that because Apple improperly implemented the notch (it should have been a bezel with notification that nothing else can access, not a dent in the display) and other brands can't do anything but copying Apple, except where it really matters, aka the Face ID.
And out of that, only Huawei were the one smart enough to understand that adding 3D Face recognition doesn't mean removing the fingerprint sensor, a thing that Samsung did with the S9, and while when they moved to the vastly superior ultrasonic one, everyone should have also copied them, but rather people thought that Samsung's poor implementation = all ultrasonic FPS are bad, so we are stuck with optical ones, which are the worst of the 3 (along with capacitive which is quite good, but that Ultrasonic still beat)...
It looks like smartphones brands have brainstorming sessions, they take all the good and bad idea, and swear to only implement the bad one and never touch the good ones...

Do you think anyone gaming on it is god I wish that punch hole wasn't there? Yes it's a mild annoyance but it's a tiny little cut out on the extreme edge of the screen. There's loads of phones with punch holes that are popular with gamers. If you split the screen into three thirds, the majority of the action happens in the middle third.

Globally, but not for the North American continent.

But Poco X3 Pro have microSD slot and 3.5mm jack, Not to mention there are basicaly no 5G network in the place i live, so personally Poco X3 pro is the one i go for.
That being said, currently i'm using Poco X3 standard as the Pro version isn't out yet in my place.
Anonymous, 28 Apr 2021I ordered a Redmi K40 Gaming ($399) for alot less..The k40 gaming has a shitty dimensity chip though. You are better off buying Poco X3 pro for less money and even better performance with sd 870. And its only 100$ difference between blackshark and k40, but POCO x3 pro wins it at the lowest price. and both phones are made by Xiaomi :=)
Blackshark is an exclusively gaming subrand. Redmi is budget. POCO is even more budget/kid oriented.
Gaming phone + punch hole = useless.
I am sure the reason why some bought gaming phones was because they wanted a phone with bezels/without punch hole other than a Sony.

No Sd Card 😱
jamalu96, 28 Apr 2021and ended up into 3 pieces.Talking about Lenovo legion? Hmm
Pricing isn't right for global. 425-450$ for Base variant and 500$ for top variant was good. Snapdragon 870 is cheaper.
Anonymous, 28 Apr 2021Give thanks to the taxesImporting the Chinese variant sounds like a good option here in Europe.
