So why would ANYONE buy this over Lumia 900 which is already selling at $50 on contract? Nokia why are you trying to fail so hard?! Use common sense...
Like the hate.
WP can run on 256MB RAM. Of course android fans will hate that.
All seen the LG optimus G video on this site with 2GB of RAM lag.
Great news for market share.
Okay, Nokia... A nice budget device... I wouldn't stress the RAM too much, hopefully they'll be able to push it a bit more with WP7.8. My only real issue is Zune... Sure, have software to sync with your pc, but don't restrict me... Had a Lumia 800 and it looked and worked great... Till I tried to download a file... Or BT a file... Or couldn't find Opera Mini for WP7.5... All REALLY disappointing. Give us a lighter, and A LOT less restrictive Zune, mass storage support and some WP 8 for good measure... Oh and some more RAM on this pretty piece of tech while you're at it...
I strongly recommended to people that don't buy these cheap os phones 256 ram and bullock cart processor not supported many apps its UI good only for touch experience when open browser and apps its sluggies, hanged and need to reboot ..
great idea! after the immense wp7-7.5 success this makes perfect sense
nokia must launch very very quick some cheap windows 8 devices with minimum 512 mb - 1 gb ram, 3-5 mp camera, 3.7inch -4 inch lcd, around 150 euros with all taxes, around 3-4 models like this and make an affordable app store. hey marketing division of nokia ,this is the only chance to improve sales. you are not apple to sell lumia 920 with long waiting lines in front of the stores at 1000 euros.
AnonD-64830, 03 Oct 2012Nice to see a budget lumia but it should have been windows 8 and with micro sd card minimum.
... moreYOu just dont know what WP is about. There is no download, there is nothing to do with files from card or USB on WP, its not allowed.
Same with downloading files, you cant.
Thats why WP can never be like android, its full of restrictions, its unsuitable for most ppl, this is only for the few special ppl who can accept lotsa restrictions, and the problem for Nokia is that most of those people already have iphone, which is the other restricted system.
You dont have to like android, but it is the only big player that offers freedom. Download, copy your files, do as you like, no limits imposed by its cretor. With WP and iOS, do as you are told, accept the limits, and you do NOT need a card slot when you are not allowed to put anything in it.
AnonD-74343, 03 Oct 2012At $150 nobody expect experience like SGSIII or IP5 or L920. But 256MB ram is not good enough ... moreMobile RAM and processor is cheap. At additional 20-30 USD, it can get Krait & 1 GB RAM.
Nice to see a budget lumia but it should have been windows 8 and with micro sd card minimum.
Windows 8 phones need models at £100 with expansion to compete with android phones.
At $150 nobody expect experience like SGSIII or IP5 or L920. But 256MB ram is not good enough for WP. L610 proved that once. They could have increase at least upto 384Mb.
