Is there going to be a Pro version? Pro Lite version? Like the 8 but with larger display, with headphone jack, OIS camera? I'm fine with throwing away the flip and downgrading the chipset to keep the price lower. So that I can get something like Samsung A52 but with a "fantastic" camera.
beep bop boop, 12 May 2021what are you smoking? iPhone 12 pro starts at $999 base price, the souped up model with 512gb ... moreUS =/= world. It (pro model) is 1600 in india, 1300 in australia and china(where it is literally made), and 1400 in UK. Crawl back to your cave troll.
Peter UK, 12 May 2021Tricky market I say... IPhone mini is below £589 in UK already in many places so for the Asus ... moreI'd say that people looking for compact Android flagship won't care, how low is iPhone mini price with it's non existing battery life.
bit more aggressive screen to body ratio would be better.
4000 mAh is not enough, 500 more could be justified.
the price range demands one more camera, telephoto lens is lacking i think in this price segment.
this a good compact phone but not the best in class!
Not gonna lie, from hardware perspective, it's great device. I just wish ASUS would step up the software part. It's really what's keeping their phones from being really desirable. And I'm not talking functionality, just long term support. I'd actually like this one coz it has no display interruption and I'd just never flip it over since I just don't do selfies, finally in-display fingerprint scanner, large battery. Would prefer frosted back like on smaller model, but oh well. But knowing ASUS is really slow with software and not really committed at doing it long term, I'd be hesitating.
Anonymous, 12 May 2021hope mini is $600I was right, yay!!
L.O.R.D, 12 May 2021It is still way lower than an iPhone 12 Pro that starts at over $1600 here for a notched screen what are you smoking? iPhone 12 pro starts at $999 base price, the souped up model with 512gb storage costs $1,299
bobby , 12 May 2021Right on! And who wants a non integrated 5G modem? is the average consumer going to care about that? the average customer will be happy as long as the 5G on the phone works
Anonymous, 12 May 2021Asus taking jabs at Sony, 😂What did they do? I'm late to te party.
Asus taking jabs at Sony, 😂
Anonymous, 12 May 2021Then there will be no advantage over zenfone 7 series.
Right on!
And who wants a non integrated 5G modem?
Whatever the initial price of the mini will be, in autumn it will be around €500.~ so just chill people
Tricky market I say... IPhone mini is below £589 in UK already in many places so for the Asus to win over customers have to go below that which is going to be a challenge.
Baddroid, 12 May 2021I wish they launched one with 870 at lower price. Then there will be no advantage over zenfone 7 series.
Standby for an utterly ludicrous price tag that makes the Zenfone was appealing as acne.
chris1998, 12 May 2021I mean the ZF7 was 700. Zefone 6 was £500It is still way lower than an iPhone 12 Pro that starts at over $1600 here for a notched screen
Rkm, 12 May 2021That was reasonable compared to other flagships, weren't they? That was a genuine question, I actually don't remember the 7 situation.
But, Snapdragon 888 has heating issues, therefore thermal throttling, so i would go for iqoo 7 or mi 11x. If they release a sd 870 model that would be lovely!

Rkm, 12 May 2021Asus have always been reasonable with their launch prices. Let us see.I mean the ZF7 was 700. Zefone 6 was £500
