This is what HTC deserve for being cocky. Ditching developer support, lock down boot-loader, giving laughable excuse for not able to update android firmware.

HTC have forgot what raise them to their position, all the way back from Windows Mobile era. HTC phone was famous with lots of developer support, adding feature to the devices and even prolong device validity with support from developer even HTC have given up. All these reflect into popularity and high resale price.

Today's HTC, top edge hardware? Samsung, LG, Apple walk way ahead. Software support? Samsung, Sony , Apple kept their promise way better, buying their flagship give a guarantee that it's won't be treated like adopted child after 6 month like most HTC device.

aed, 08 Oct 2012they thought they could sell overpriced junk since they are now in the big time and have a lar... moreExactly. They made good phones overall, but the pricing and marketing is the one pulling they down more than they know.

A 7 month old HTC One X is priced higher than a 3 months old Galaxy S3.(official retail price)

they thought they could sell overpriced junk since they are now in the big time and have a large loyal fan base, well guess what? people only bought htc because it was cheap!
who would prefer oneX over s3? wp 8x over lumia 920? they price their products at par with rivals samsung ,sony and nokia who provide way more service and enhancements than this junk company! beats headphones stink! and are overpriced! except htc sense, they offer no innovations.

Funny, I can't remember seeing ANY HTC adverts the last year or so. Can think of a few from Apple and Samsung ...
HTC still (if you ask me) have got some awesome hardware (I own the One X - Tegra 3 quad core - WOW is all I can say!) but without advertising you will go nowhere (people seem to follow the crowd, which follows advertising ...)
Enough said?

As I said earlier: if you do not change your Windows Mobile 2005 UX feeling on Android (funny named SenseUI), you will be DEAD.

Throw away your old stupid SenseUI and bring CLEAR VANILLA google Android 4.x experience on your HTC phones and you will see the difference. SenseUI is full of UX antipatterns and example of How to Not design UI for modern phone. This is THE ONLY reason why customers don't buy your phones anymore. They heard that every custom UI over Android is BAD and they not longer buy phones with modified UX.

HTC phones don't look like they are running Android. They look like they are running Windows Mobile 2005. Got it?

Overpriced? come on,they are cheaper than Icrap, and Samsung, and innovations are plenty.i guess is because they tried too much bringing latest stuff, for people who didn't know to appreciate, zombies will buy forever Icrap, because, you know,it's an Icrap,a celebrity like Steve...and despite Sams.advertising(designed for ''humans'')....etc.you can't compete with stupidity.even now plenty think Nokia is the best..so,Htc should play ''safe mode''? i am satisfied with their build quality, innovations, ergonomics, and software.and not long time ago, they were firts releasing updates

this is what happens when you choose to bring new phone in the market instead of making the old one better with the software updates and fixing the hardware issues. yes i am talking about htc one X. instead of listening to your customers HTC chose to launch the one x+. WOW! learn from APPLE

Ver SAD.

htc,
1.SHOULD listen customers and tech reviewers' feedbacks.
2.firmware updates MUST be rolled out ON time.
3.htc Sense should be lighten up.(or let customers to switch launcher between pure vanilla and sense)

My One X suffers from Sense 4.0

Eat that HTCrap!
No one wants to buy your overpriced Android.
No one wants to buy your unsupported Windows Phone.
Payback for being so arrogant.
