Three to four devices across price segments is fine for one OEM. But that's not going to happen any time soon.
I have Note 20 Ultra and think the same. Camera improvements such as 10x zoom instead od 5x and the like are just gimmicks no real life use benefit, but tech reviewers make it so it seems it's a huge leap when it's not. I'm not getting fooled by them. I'd love and iPhone with lidar though - great tool for artists.

I hope Xiaomi/Realme and Honor comes comes big in the west to keep competition going. Xiaomi should work on their software just like Oppo did and Realme should work on their camera. Honor with killer flagship GMS is necessary for time being.
CompactPhones5ever, 15 Jun 2021Have fun paying 1000$ for a phone with camera comparable to 200$ Xiaomi.
For me personally,... moreIf a $1000 camera means extremely overprocessed sh**ty-looking artificial images with overdone HDR that completely removes the shadows in the scene, then I'd even dare say I'm much better off with that $200 Xiaomi camera instead.
Night shots are supposed to look like night scenes. If you want to achieve brighter image, there's this freakin' Photo Pro app for you to toggle the right settings to get it. And no, it doesn't even take a genius to learn its basic photography features, unless you really are that stupid to not understand even the simplest functions of different settings.
I currently have a Note 10 Plus 5G and see no real reason to upgrade to any of the S22 phones. I also have a friend who bought the S10 plus and cannot recommend they upgrade either. The incremental upgrades are so trivial now that even three generations later it's barely worth the bother.

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2021Like it matters as the buyers will all cover them with ugly cases. Exactly!!!!
I'm all in on plastic backs on phones.
Love the one on my S21. It's pleasant to touch and leaves zero fingerprints and smudges.
It's also lighter and offers better resistance to falls.
Complaining about a plastic rear panel is beyond stupid. Using glass for the backs of phones makes no sense. But muh premium feel... STFU!

If it is $100 cheaper than the current S21, then fine, i will take plastic over glass. Since i use cases anyway. But i can't help but nowadays chinese brands phone have better build quality than samsung, pixel and iPhone. Previously it was the opposite way, kind of weird. I bet that samsung purposely did this so people will buy the Ultra more

For me personally, plastic back is a plus. I couldn't care less about the "premium feel" and plastic won't break as easily as glass. The frame must be metal though, plastic frame would be unacceptable on a 700$ phone.
Incremental Update to say the least.
One should buy a new Phone every 3-4 years to enjoy new tech.

For me best choice of materials is aluminum frame with plastic (polycarbonate) back like lumia 925, with polycarbonate you get good reception than any other material, and durability.
I don't care about look but I can understand those who want premium materials.

Someone who has always bought Samsung flagships would just assume that the new ones must also use premium build materials & buy the phone. Only after using it would they realize what material they have in their hands.
