Wereweeb, 22 Jun 2021Must be sad to live in the U.S. and be unable to buy XiaomiEven if I live in the US, I wouldn't buy a Xiaomi. I already have an experience living with Xiaomi phones. Great hardware, but terrible software. I really don't understand why fanboys... I mean, people raving about how "smooth" MIUI. IT'S JUST F***ING NOT! I already had enough of running MIUI 12 on my Mi 9T Pro, so I flashed custom ROM in it. Totally not regretting it. But because the phone itself is quite old now, I'm already eyeing on a solid replacement. Both ASUS Zenfone 8 and Sony Xperia 1 Mk3/5 Mk3 is a worthy contender.
Kaz, 22 Jun 2021Not at all. Xiaomi may have great hardware but their software is not fit for the western marketIs western Europe not western market? oWo
As much as i like this being an improvement over the n100,
Also I kinda lowkey prefer the samsung a22, why?
-helio g80 is decent for its 720p screen
-already 90hz
-ois and has a ultrawide cam
-a more practical design
-would get atleast 4 years minimal of update support and i think 2-3 major OS updates
Forget it already settled obsolete OS

Mi9SE was recently updated to Android 11, from Android 9 when it was announced in 2019. Not too shabby for a Chinese phone. OP was good back then with updates, but now, the hard to swallow price, the slow updates... hmmm
I know it's a cheap phone but come on, 1 year of updates? What is this? 2009? Even Chinese companies that give almost no F about support offer at least that much.
Must be sad to live in the U.S. and be unable to buy Xiaomi
Well they hould work only on flagship grade phones.
Having just one update is no.
This suddenly makes the Nokia X10 and X20 a worthy purchase considering that they are powered by the same Snapdragon 480 chipset as this OnePlus phone. But being an HMD Nokia smartphone, you still get two major OS update albeit not as fast as Google.

All of these Nords after the original seem like poor value propositions. One update is laughable especially when the next comes out in a few months.
