TrueToYourself, 23 Oct 2012I don't think it's a case of Samsung copying, as such. It's a bit like cameras. More megapixel... moreWell we all know that competition drives the latest trends in d industry n Samsung had 2 join the 1080p band wagon as other companies had alrdy done so or else the masses won't buy their products! However, dear Samsung, (Cr)Apple, HTC, Sony, Motorola (ur d 1 with the lead, i guess), LG, Huawei, NOkia, Acer, Asus n all the other major players in the smartphone arena is it too hard 2 improve the BATTERY of your smart devices??? Y'all are smart folks n can smartly improve all the other specs of your smart gadgets, im sure improving the battery life wud be 1 of the smartest moves y'all ever make! Savvy?
I think these devices are getting too big. 4.7" is the maximum a normal human man can handle.
one day samsung will made a product. that will be ground breaking. and that nobody else has actually made. samsung has awesome ideas. just a shame there everyone elses.
On a display as big as on the Note II, you sure can tell the difference... 1080p however is over the top.
But to stay within standards full HD is probably better than anything in between.
But they do need another boost in battery performance.
Cleese, 23 Oct 2012Oh when will a 6 inch phone come out... Is it still a phablet.A 5 inch device is still considered as a phone, but a 6 inch display device will be considered as a phablet, because it's too big to use it as a phone.
Maybe next WP8 phone? ATIV NOTE? I hope they will soon release comparable device to note1/2 on WP8 patform.
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2012You're not going to notice the difference with such pixel density. Thats what they told me when i bought my 15" 1080P laptop... But well, i could see the diff.
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2012You're not going to notice the difference with such pixel density. Not everyone with every picture, but many high quality pictures and videos will and text some will definitely notice a difference. Especially on close inspection
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2012well,samsung Have to Copy Htc,like Always.we'll see if Nokia or Apple will do the same .I don'... moreMy HTC Nexus 1 uses Samsung panel... If Samsung copied HTC, would the Nexus 1 have used Samsung panels?
Tom, 23 Oct 2012There's no chance Samsung could make FULL HD Amoled screen. Samsung has "a problem" ... moreIf you read technology displays, you would have known that Samsung has already had a full HD prototype... i recall it was about 5".
I don't think it's a case of Samsung copying, as such. It's a bit like cameras. More megapixels doesn't always equal better quality. In many cases, it makes the image *worse*. However, for Jo Consumer, 'more' equals 'better'. Therefore, I suspect all phone manufacturers will produce 1080p screens to avoid their phones being overlooked as 'inferior'. We know better ....
Tom, 23 Oct 2012There's no chance Samsung could make FULL HD Amoled screen. Samsung has "a problem" ... moreProblem? Samsung can't do it? Wow you have been living under a rock Im guessing? Samsung most definitely cana dn they dont have problems and can make rgb and pentile both just fine. You do realize the amoled tvs on their way are going to be over 1080p right
