GG DX is rubbish. I have it on my Samsung Galaxy Active2 Smartwatch and it got scuffed and scratched within a few days even though I barely wore it.

Same Xperia failed to reduce lens flare despite the coating
Dra, 23 Jul 2021Just use saphirelul you think sapphire is cheap and easy to manufacture?
Hello Life, 23 Jul 2021sapphire is more brittle even if it has better scratch resistance How many users shatter their displays or camera lenses? Few here and there. It's unfortunate but whatever. Now compare that to how many of them have scratches from careful normal use of putting it in a pocket and out and carefully placing it on various surfaces. Answer, ALL of them. Just use sapphire.
Anonymous, 23 Jul 2021it is unlikely you will drop on the small area of camera lens tho. But what if it happens?
'75% improvement in readability due to lesser glare and 50% improvement in contrast', which they have stated in their display glass figures for the same glass. They have have though, like all mobile glass lens makers (leics, zeiss and others), not mentioned the improvements in resolving power of their glass, vis a vis plastic lenses.
Better contrast and much lower flare from reflections (like the ZEISS T* coating on the Xperia 1 ii which also increases contrast by reducing reflections). Also, Sony also also doesn't state whether their glass license resolve better than plastic lenses. Either the question remains moot or the difference is miniscule.

Zeiss and Leica do not make lenses for phones.
- Leica certifies lenses used on huawei
- zeiss just add coating on lenses used by Sony and Vivo.

I really don't care of gorilla glass camera protection, never ever tried to break the camera glass.
Protection on the front display i could wish they could upgrade.
People obsessing over drops so much for everything and I'm sitting here being annoyed by hundreds of micro scratches on display and on camera lenses. Here and there people drop phones and they shatter. Whatever. Meanwhile, 99% of everyone else get scratches from normal careful every day use. Just focus on scratch resistance above all. Stick sapphire into everything. Synthetic sapphire is cheap these days. Camera lenses being small, they should ALL be sapphire (and actual sapphire, not "sapphire") as small pieces are harder to shatter than larger sheets. No excuses. I have several high end wrist watches with sapphire crystal. They are all absolutely spotless and some of them are some 10 years old already and I wore them 24/7. My Apple Watch 5 has 3 pretty bad scratches that just happened and I don't even know when. I never hit it at anything. I just noticed them one day. Same for regular watches with mineral crystal that I have. Over years they got bunch of scratches on the crystal. In 25 years of wearing wrist watches, I've never shattered any of them. Same for all phones I ever owned.
