Anonymous, 31 Jul 2021What is the reason that Xiaomi uses the USB Type-C 2.0?No one can confirm why Xiaomi do that, but there is a strong theory that Xiaomi doesn't want to spend more money giving faster USB.
[deleted post]I have a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro that I even flashed custom ROM in it. So much for "Xiaomi hater", eh? 😏
Jolo, 01 Aug 2021But that price to really need someone think about itEnglish?
John, 30 Jul 2021Definitely couldn't agree more with you. For a flagship-grade with such excessive firepow... moreWell, if the company's software doesn't Provide a desktop mode then the hdmi alt capable USB 3.1 port is not a necessity since you can only use it for wired screen mirroring.
In that case, wired screen mirroring is still doable now. You just need a mhl adapter. It will provide you with same thing. So in other words, we don't need just USB 3.1 ports, but we need them together with the desktop mode software. So far only Samsung with flagships and Motorola with even midrangers, give us that.

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2021You don't understand desktop mode, do you? Just like Dex is available on non foldables f... moreIf Xiaomi is going to give their own Desktop Mode, they should stop putting USB-C 2.0 altogether and start putting USB-C 3.1 with HDMI ALT support. Only then, Xiaomi flagships can be on par with Samsung flagships.
Does that mean my S10+ (Exynos) is outdated now? With such huge massive performance gains?
I am already tempted to buy Poco F3 because I think it is not worth spending money on expensive flagships. Second hand S10+ are selling at 25% of their MRP. I am shocked to see that.
Why should I spend so much money on flagships and then don't even get any value back when I go to sell my flagships phone?
Also the 60hz looks so slow when I use other 120/90hz phones. And I don't know why basic games like Walk Master and Steppy Pants lag and stutter on my S10+ and ot overheats my phone! :@
I am not making the mistake of buying another flagship phone, especially one with Exynos. Because I have lost all my trust and confidence on Exynos.
Mediatek Dimensity 1200 phones are coming at a budget too but I am worried again that the games will stutter because games aren't optimised for other processors.
I asked these game developers that why do their games lag and stutter in a flagship phone and they tell me they don't know. Neither they care to fix it.
Enough is enough! I am not wasting my 2-3 months salary on flagship phones especially Exynos, I will buy budget phones with high perfomance processor and battery life. (Battery life is the worst in my phone, I have to take my charger with me every day). SOT is like 3-4 hours (Even switching to FHD+ not QHD).
I was thinking about Poco F3 but now after reading that LPDDR5X is double the data rate of LPDDR4X, I am thinking to buy the next Poco F3 successor because most probably it will come with LPDDR5X since the current one comes with LPDDR5. Only thing I don't like is no 3.5mm Jack.
What do you guys suggest should I wait to buy my phone next year or buy it this year?
Fulljack, 31 Jul 2021phones get faster everyday but they're limited on what they can do. if only it was *that*... morePREACH! Android may well be the most popular mobile OS, but it is still a mobile OS. I'd be more than happy to have full-on Linux or Windows 10 ARM desktop OS on my smartphone. Now that is a true 'smartphone as a laptop replacement' solution. Android still has its major limitation, mainly with opening multiple files of the same format.
