It's even worse if the screen is curved. So really, that idea is not feasible.
This teaser for a new device was actually just a 50% off carrier sale 😂😂

I thought this design is a failure? Why OnePlus design team purposely knock their heads onto the wall?
Back when LG phones were a thing, I was thinking about getting one with the dual screen, but the gap between the screens was too big :( I don’t know why they did it like that. Edge to edge screens have been a thing for many years, they could have made an attachment with an edge to edge display that literally touches the phone’s display when unfolded, so that it would be almost like a single continuous display on foldable phones. I’d totally buy something like that.
Nice troll from OnePlus LOL
Alright, forget LG's DualScreen clone or Samsung Z Fold knockoff - it was none of those. It was actually a 50% promotion of the vanilla OP9: https://twitter.com/OnePlus_USA/status/1425459798959706113
zaryan, 11 Aug 2021So it would be called twopluslove it
zaryan, 11 Aug 2021So it would be called twoplusOr maybe "one plus one"
after having oneplus 2,3,5,6,7pro
I think they lost the way and not inventing anymore.
Price is not as sexy as use to be
And I don't understand why they don't stay with oxygen/any other stock android.
My next phone will be the Pixel 6
What if, it is a tablet, to rival against xiaomi mi pad 5.
I would trust only Samsung foldables.
Looks like a Fold but it's just two midranges side by side. Like always OnePlus is all hype no purpose again
Those are 2 phones hold by hinges :))))) Samsung, you have no problem crushing this.
Bigmeme, 11 Aug 2021A sleeker lg g8xAt least LG's DualScreen case is detachable, and I really love that a lot. This looks akin to Microsoft Surface Duo but with a smartphone-like body. Still, let's just wait for it.
Solun1, 11 Aug 2021It's trully sad seeing any tech company struggling with foldables especially if it's... moreI actually like what Microsoft did with the Surface Duo. It has the same ethos as LG's DualScreen case and I gladly prefer a dual display solution over a foldable screen solution mainly because of durability, which I definitely did with my V50. But in the case of the Surface Duo, it feels just like the first-gen Galaxy Fold - there are still much-needed improvements to be done with it. I like the Surface Duo, but I won't be buying one until the second-gen iteration comes in.
"At first glance, the teased device looks to be a foldable one, but upon closer inspection it becomes clear that this device has two displays that might be joined by a hinge and not actually a flexible display that folds like Samsung’s."
Really? Kind of like what LG had done with the so-called "gImMiCkY" DualScreen case since 2019, not forgetting the Microsoft Surface Duo as well? Speaking of flexible, both the LG DualScreen case and the Surface Duo can do full 360-degree rotation.
