Heh...
Win Mobile never crashes.
Also you can hack & optimize Win Mobile for better performance with huge registry softwares.
Symbian is really terrible & crashes/hangs so bad.
What do you do when your Symbian phone OS is dead?
Just flash & restore it.
But I reinstall Win Mobile just like desktop Windows & all the things works fine.
Don't challenge me so weak like this.

About the keypad; I own a M600i and it's actually a really great qwerty. I even have fairly large fingers and it doesn't pose a problem. I have friends who wonder how I can type so fast (they have full qwerty HTC phones and a nokia e61i) and I tell them it's because of the compressed yet intuitive design of the Sony Ericsson keypad. It really is something great. It helps to keep the profile of the phone slim (not wide like Samsung smartphones or even HTC's) and it's supremely functional. Again, I am SO HAPPY THEY put this keypad on the phone. Touch sensitive buttons are nice to show off, but not at all functional. I'm looking forward to the review of the phone.

Also, who would want to put windows mobile on it???!!!! Unless you absolutely NEED it for work, that OS has crashed more time than people on the autobahn.

I don't like the look of the keyboard. They should make it normal qwerty or no qwerty at all me thinks.

no xenon flash because it is only reserved for cybershot phones.

I've been an SE fan for ages, but looking at this phone right now, I cant help but give a sad sigh. I mean the front looks gorgeous! But the back, good lord.. it looks so cheap! Being a designer myself I have to say the designers have done their work half heartedly. The overall design could have been much better. Anyways, My 2 cents on the design of this phone.

Stifmikester! W980 is surely a better delivery, only if they had it as a monoblok, clumshell phones lack in confidence, i refer to them as playphones or student cards

s/e arent getting anywhere,,its best if they give up the smartfone market..whats so special about it?? its not working now & with the faults suggested it reminds me of p990i fiasco and look how that turned out!!!! i know i fell for buying one..

ITs as if they just cant get the electronics to work they always seem to struggle yet sony are experts in that field,,time to split and go back to ericsson and sony

why all the moaning about the plastic cover look at the N95 its all plastiky and squeeky and it's a very successful handset all the phone need is a character and load of specs in my opinion and i have no doubt with SE built quality its among the best even better than nokia

Looks like a QVGA screen hooked up to that QW-ER-TY keyboard. And the backside has a piece of shiny plastic as a lens cover.

I hope this isn't SE's replacement for the P990i, otherwise they're bound to lose more customers than gain new ones with this "product"...
