The fact that they're getting decent reviews when everyone (including myself honestly) thought they were going to suck says a lot. I'm going to give them a few more chances before I can definitively call them bad. It's best to not jump to conclusions like that. We'll just have to see when the Ear 2 comes out, or whatever Nothing's next product is.

Investors will look for better places to spend their money and then the downward spiral gets going.
Duck of death, 31 Aug 2021Working so hard to avoid saying the S word. It's quite comical. Only thing comical here is how quickly you jump to idiotic conclusions. For example, a company has no ambition just because their first product is mediocre. If they continue making weak products, then yes, that will be true. The Ear 1 aren't even that bad, calm down and give them a few product launches, because at this point you're just spewing nonsense.
Test all ANCs while out in a Cicada filled area
My friend sat outside surrounded by themaking a lot of noise and said his earbuds ANC failed to stop them. He said it should be the new test threshold!

It's just another Amazon brand among the others, just run by a guy who knows how to trgggrrr a few gadget bloggers for free advertisement.
It is not an alternative to Galaxy Buds. It's an overpriced budget brand. An oxymoron. 100 bucks for something that would have cost 50 bucks without the marketing expenses.

Were you really expecting them to compete with Sony or something? Of course, if it continues like this, then yes I will agree with you, but if they improve and evolve, which they likely will, they have a bright future ahead. Besides, the Ear 1 have been getting decent reviews, and aren't being panned like you're implying. Also, ffs, Nothing isn't charging $250 for them. They're not meant to be competing with Sony or Bose or Apple or any of the big boys yet. If you thought they were going to be an XM4 killer, for a first product and at $100, then that's your fault, not Nothing's. Nothing just entered the industry, you have to give them a fair chance, and one product is definitely not that, especially when said one product is decent. Give them more time before calling them a con company, that's a bold claim to be making so early.
Solun1, 30 Aug 2021You have a good point. I really enjoy my Buds+ altough they are not as good as wired earphones... morethe buds2 is very comfortable, however, i feel like the buds+ and buds pro still sounds better. Using the 3 at the same dynamic setting, the buds2 sounds like a concert hall speaker was inserted in my ear or like im listening to sound underwater. ITs like im listening to my neighbor's loud speaker. There is too much bass and a little too much echo for my taste.
The buds+ and buds pro are pretty close in sound, and for me i think is both better sound-wise.
I dont know how id feel about the new one.

I really enjoy my Buds+ altough they are not as good as wired earphones (even cheap in-box Samsung earphones are better in sound quality). And I'm a little concerned about the fit because Buds2 don't have those rubber wing-tips anymore. I wonder how would anyone who tried both Buds+ and Buds2 rate the comfort.
whitedevilinasia, 30 Aug 2021can they be used with any brand of smart phone?Of course. For example they used a mi 11 on the review
you've got an Easter egg in your ear?
you've got an Easter egg in your ear?
I can't hear you, I've got an Easter egg in your ear?
"Better yet, compared to the Buds+ the latency is twice as low".... or you could just say "half".
"While the Buds+ had sensitive edges around the touch area, the Buds2 look better, have no rubber "wings" for the ear, and provide simpler gesture controls - press and hold is programmable, while one tap is Play/Pause, two taps are Next Song, and three taps are Previous Song."
Looking "better" is subjective because for me the Buds+ still looks better. Also "no rubber wings" - these wings are actually really helpful in getting the right fit. I even dare to say that the design of the buds+ with the almost triangle edge is better at controlling accidental touches compared to the all round design of the Buds Pro. Oh and also when the reviewer said simpler control - its not actually simpler, it is exactly the same control as Buds+ and Buds Pro.
These Galaxy Buds2 will be the product that will kill Airpods lineup in terms of everything, sales, quality, battery, ANC etc
It is worth mentioning that there is a downgrade for battery life of the new Buds2 compared to the Buds+. Buds+ can play upto 11 hours in 1 charging while the new one can 'only' play upto 8hours without ANC.
The Buds+ can usually last me the whole day from travel to work to travel without having the need to charge them - something i didnt get from the buds Pro which begs me to charge it the middle of the day - plus in all honesty, i really cant tell the difference in sound quality between the 2 older buds. If the Buds2 promises the same sound as Buds pro but with lesser batterlife than Buds+ then id say its just better to get the Buds+ now which sells for about $80 to $90 now.

Comfort is not nothing with earbuds. If they hurt, then they're gonna deter people from buying them. That's a big issue with the Galaxy Buds Pro. The Ear 1 are not fantastic, but they're at not bad at all, especially for a first product and their respectable price. Of course quality is important, but these are earbuds, so design and comfort matter a lot. Your post sounds like a joe nodden post. You're just dodging my points and forming a weak argument based on nitpicking my logic or just generally incorrect or stupid "facts," like what he does. If you think the Ear 1 are noticeably more comfortable than the Buds2, they stay in better, and you find the sound and other aspects acceptable, enough to be worth saving the $50, then they will be a better buy for you. If the Buds2 are more comfortable and stay in better, and/or are generally worth $50 more for you, they will be the better buy. Simple.

People do care about quality. The Nothing burgers are mostly hype with poor software and general quality. IF you hate that, which most people do, don't get them. That's the easy solution.
