I have had a Razer Phone 2 and a 3 and am now using a Red Magic 3S and gotta say it blows their socks off. Even though it's an older model it's still fast and stil plays games no problem. Only gripe I have is I like to put music on phone and just wish it has SD expansion, instead I use an OTG USB card reader with a 512Gb SD card in it, doesn't slow phone down at all. But as with all Manufacturers they all seem to be going the same route and killing the SD card.
But never mind, even new still half the price of those flagship phones and twice as good
My red magic 3 is still kicking; Even faster in the last week since it just had a system update.
I'm Not impressed!... I bought the red magic 6 pro even after reading all the warnings from other people complaining about how the software sucks!
I bought the phone on lunch, at first I was happy with the phone, but I started to notice all the glitches.
The phone would randomly reset while I was using it.
Also sometimes things would get stuck on the screen like if I was turning up the volume the volume would get stuck on the screen, or other things would get stuck on the screen, this type of thing would happen all the time and I finally got sick of it and sold the phone 2 months after buying it and lost a hundred bucks, but it's a lesson well learned. Just as important as good hardware there must be good software to support it otherwise the phone is garbage! I bought the Poco f3 after I sold my 6 pro, it has snapdragon 870 chipset but honestly it runs better than the magic 6 pro and it only cost me $350 instead of $699.
Nubia needs to stop spending money on hardware and worry about their software!
I will never buy one of their phones over again! 0

Not a single major bug with the OD for me and the 5g... Well the wifi coverage is pretty good by now I guess so not a big deal for me. I can't agree with your view

And it's only a gimmick if it's a bunch of useless features on top of what you paid for. People buy gaming phones for the features these phones advertise: shoulder "buttons", fast refresh rate, fast touch sampling, larger batteries, rapid charging, active/passive cooling. If you can't get all these features from typical flagships, then gaming phones make sense if these are important to you. I will say I had the red magic 5G and my only complaint was the software/ui experience.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 01 Sep 2021Gaming phones... Leading and pushing boundaries like no other... What boundaries are they pushing? Unfortunately phones these days are full of gimmicks, many features are removed and so on.. And you still believe all these companies?

Unless the global software and 5G band count is better, it's really difficult to recommend these phones as great as their hardware is.
