rizki1, 09 Sep 2021no one can do like xiaomi remember its cheaper than samsung and pixel but they hardware no way... moreThey wont, Xiaomi have built in disable ads insiste the apps, people are lazy to deactivate them...but, those people who complain just discover it, thats why you dont see that coments. 🤣
Having Xiaomi devices from 2017 till this day and never have a problem with ads on Xiaomi, cause you can disable them...or just install other ROM. Simple.
iOS got 7years or 6 years or mores

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2021Does this mean 3 years of update when the device is launced ? or 3 new OS updates from the tim... more3 years is suppose to mean 3 major OS updates since Google releases major version every year now. Question is, how vendors interpret that exactly...
K20 Pro User, 09 Sep 2021The promise is only valid if it is released with Android 12 out of the box. Or it is hoax. The device will be announced in a few days. Android 12 is not officially done yet. Still a few weeks away.
If it launches on 11, gets 12, 13 and 14 (the latter in 2023) it isn't until late 2024 when android 15 comes it will be "out of date" OS version wise, but will still receive the important part, security patches for one more year until late 2025.
Pretty good, and also very promising for future flagships, such as Xiaomi 12, which likely will launch on android 12 in December/January.
Does this mean 3 years of update when the device is launced ? or 3 new OS updates from the time new OS version is released
Because Xiaomi will still launch Android 11 devices even after Android 12 is released and will it count Android 12 into the 3 year timeline?
Now we're talking. They just need to make it a thing across entire ranges, not for individual models they pick and choose. If their main line gets such updates policy, they got back on my list again. I liked the Mi5 I had back then, but update policy was terrible, mostly coz of meddling with MIUI versions as Android versions.
What about other phones launched in 2021? Like Mi 11 series or K40 series? Will they get the same update policy? Current Xiaomi only gets 2 years of android updates, 3 MIUI updates, and 2 years of security patch updates. How is Poco F3 too?
Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro will get three (buggy) Android upgrades and four years of (quarterly) security patches
The promise is only valid if it is released with Android 12 out of the box. Or it is hoax.
no one can do like xiaomi remember its cheaper than samsung and pixel but they hardware no way near xiaomi. i am waiting someone say 'bugs and ads' now.
