Spanky, 21 Sep 2021Is anyone really paying 170 dollars for a phablet with severely crippled functionality (and no... moreYeah bruh. I read at night and it's better than using my phone to read, and easier than using a booklight/lamp to read a paperback. Disturbs the wife less as well.

Is anyone really paying 170 dollars for a phablet with severely crippled functionality (and no phone features either), just to read ebooks?

Btw any1 know if it&... moreYup, Kindle's have a mail ID too so you can mail your document straight to your kindle. I use it for textbooks at times - be sure to buy the paperwhite and not the base kindle if you want to read PDFs. Tbh though for textbooks it's not a great experience - you can't scroll around or flip back and forth easily, and the screen is small for that.
You could try it out and return it if it doesn't work for you though

It's a cliche now, but... 2007 called it wants its Micro USB slot back. Or perhaps the margins Amazon makes by not providing one will fund the next outer space trip?
Anonymous, 21 Sep 2021I too was confused bcoz they didn't mention 'Kindle' lol. Btw any1 know if it&... moreYes, it is possible. Just connect to PC via USB and drag the files you want on the internal storage of the Kindle. All pdfs work, but idk 100% sure about all the other file extensions, you must try some to know for sure.
With free adverts ?.

Btw any1 know if it's possible to upload/transfer pdfs (or other formats) to the kindle via PC/phone. I'm a student and looking whole day at my laptop screen becomes tiring af, I'd love to read thru textbooks & notes (both provided, no piracy) on a kindle maybe on the couch or in bed.
EskeRahn, 20 Sep 2021subconscience can be a teaser. Read it as "Amazon's Paperweight 5 and .... " ;-)Good that I'm not the only one who repeatedly reads it like that lol XD
wireless charging is a new thing for Kindles, and a welcome one. I hope its usb-C as well.
