My N95 that I pre-ordered and received it on March 2007 cost me with taxes almost 800€ a year ago that was $1200. If the N95 was that price I think the N96 will have the same price. I live in Portugal and people here dont have enough money to spare in things like mobile phones, clothes etc but you see everywhere LOTS of people with N95´s. Its insane! And in Portugal rarely phone operators give mobile phones to client even if you sign a contract... what they do is, you sign a contract and pay 50% of the phone price but for a N95 that still expensive.

N95 was released on March 2007. Not October 2006. Maybe the N93 was released on October 2006 or a bit earlier... I really dont know about the N93 release date but Im 100% sure that N95 was released on March 2007. Anyeway... Yes, N96 is going to be expensive. Somebody mentioned that on the release date price will go down uhmmmm I dont think so. €760 for the N96??? That is just ludicrous!!! The HTC Diamond seems waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better... And btw.. it DOES NOT resemble the Iphone in any way! Duh!!!

It is now between nokia and samsung, samsung got the most number of 5 megapixel camera phones with out of this world or one of a kind interfaces (Living World and blocking on calls and messages and that is what we call customization) which SE lacks and even nokia, so better wait for SAMSUNG phones, maybe not as user friendly as SEs and Nokias but Samsung makes the difference on touch screens and user interfaces not to mention LG. SE is left behind on some areas (touch screen) and please leave it SE and LG to outdo each other and leave it between Samsung and Nokia to outdo each other. I do like both Samsungs and Nokias phones. I like Samsung because they make the difference compared on all top 5 manufacturers and I like Nokia because they offer diverse products with most features installed on thier phones.

All the other phones are obsolete in comparion to the N96 in this article.
The N96 looks a little like an iPhone, I must say, it looks a lot better than the N95. Much more sleek. However, the N95 has everything, why would you pay $1000 for something slightly better? I would ONLY buy it if I was mega-rich. That's it.

as for the price for the n96 ...well its an pre order price and should not be compared directly to prices of phones that are already out. there will be a significant drop in price at release date
