No thanks. Samsung is better. More beautiful user interface. More useful features.
Everything about the Pixel 3 is perfect to me except battery life. In fact, people bash battery life of the Flip 3 and Razr 5G when both have slightly better battery life than my Pixel 3 and my 3 has the same exact battery life from 2.5 years ago since practicing the 80/40 rule on it for most of its life.
When the Flip 3 is opened, it's actually taller than the Pixel 6 Pro. But the advantage is it can be flip closed while the size of 6 Pro stays the same before putting it in your pocket. Flip 3 and Razr 5G are also lighter and narrower which can make a huge difference with a difference of 4 to 6 mm. I adjusted to them being tall very quickly because they're both narrow like recent Xperias.
Slab design is too exposed. Yes, you will get annoyed intially flipping a phone open. But it's like going back in time to 15 years ago. You'll get used to it and closing it shut gives you this peace of mind that bigger display is protected. I research every phone thoroughly before I buy. I'd watch as many videos as I can.
Pixel 3 is the epitome of the Pixel 3. No ugly notch of the 3 XL. Better version of the 1 & 2. Better display than the 2 XL and far more comfortable to hold. The 3a, 4a 5G, and 5a are too large. The 4 lacks fingerprint reader. The 5 went sidestepped to a 765G and my Razr 5G has it too and it does feel less powerful. The 6 and 6 Pro are too large.
Ranking them for my needs -
Getting a 2, 2 XL, 3a, 4a, 4a 5G, and 5a sounds redundant when 3 and 4 have better SoCs than them. I only listed 2 XL because the penguin or panda is the best Pixel design ever. But I have no use for it and it's too large like the 6 and 6 Pro are. If it's going to be a surfboard phone, it needs to fold in half.

Call me biased but the Pixel 3 is the GOAT Pixel for me. It looks like a Galaxy S8 but with fluid Google software and the S9’s SoC. It's also most likely the last Pixel I'll ever get now that I'm moving exclusively to foldable clamshells.
YUKI93, 24 Oct 2021I would definitely take the current Xperia styling all day long. It looks so clean and neat wi... moreagree with you... they have less phones to think about, so there is no excuse for longer updates...
even when i am not an "update fan"... most people seem to need it... ye, especially security updates...
so far, my 1ii is doing good with updates...
fixed some issues on aod (used to check its consistency in playing peek a boo... ha ha) have not encountered any issues yet on android11...
as for pixel 6 (nonpro), punched hole made it less desirable...
but i am still interested, perhaps wait for performance (soc is made by samsung... ye, but designed by google)...
going back to xperia, i hope they wont go all in to material you... some ui elements on android 12 does not appeal to me...
AnonD-940827, 24 Oct 2021Gray import and higher prices? Ehm, that's not gray import then. It's just robberies... moreBuy a flixbus ticket to Germany and buy here in its original 649 and 849 euro prices😉 I can also buy you a coffee for hospitality
Only Apple offer five years of updates, but if pixel does receive five years of security patches the vital ones, an OS update is nice to receive but not essential.
Time to replace my pixel 4 as my main phone which has been faultless over two years and is running Android 12 well, pixel 6 it is just which colour? .
Anonymous, 24 Oct 2021Multicore 2900 Antutu 580.000 Video is not better than pixel 5. CPU gets hot. That's terrible
Nope: when Google decided that they would offer a choice of a big phone or a marginally bigger phone they lost me as a customer.
If it's a foldable flip phone, I'd maybe get it. Too large.
What, 24 Oct 2021Pixel 6 pro is hands down the most beautiful phone 2021. I wish i can get my hands on one. what's the process?
how long do you need to wait?
im also from Germany and im considering to purchase the 6 pro.
Seems impossible to buy it in my country (not available from Google and no retailer sells it)
AnonD-1023410, 24 Oct 2021What about Xperia's software and security updates?
How regularly do you get updates?
I ... moreIt does not use HDR as default. Other do. Only difference.
They get monthly patches for 24 months, then two more patches (every three months each).
About security, a recent article shows iphone got hacked in 15s.
Dometalican, 24 Oct 2021"Xperia 1 iii is pricey and offers two years of OS updates"
As the current owner ... moreWhat about Xperia's software and security updates?

I heard most of who own Xperia say software is buggy
And default camera app isn't good for normal photography or just take phone out of pocket and take pictures
Il like all the colour combination but the black one.
Unfortunately the 256gb is only available in black where I live so...
Dometalican, 24 Oct 2021"Xperia 1 iii is pricey and offers two years of OS updates" As the current owner ... moreI would definitely take the current Xperia styling all day long. It looks so clean and neat without any notch or punch hole to interrupt the full-screen video viewing experience. However, I do believe that Sony should have no problem giving three OS updates for the 1 and 5 series since they both use a flagship-grade chipset and flagship-grade chipsets can easily go strong for as long as four or five or even six years. If Sony would roll out the Android 12 OS update to the 2019 Xperia 1 and Xperia 5, that should be a sign of great news for the Mk2 and Mk3 models.
I don't buy phones with Exynos rebrand chip 😀 Why would I want a mini pocket heater. I want the good TSMC chip not these Samsung is manufacturing M1 including SD888 chips 😀
