Where you getting 3 hours from? Currently approaching 5 hours on mine with 43,% battery left. Been browsing with it on and off all day so far
Pixel phone are notorious for quality control issues.
This is where companies like Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and others reign supreme.
One more reason to avoid the pixel and its boring stock Android experience.
Seems that Google found another way to spy on us without the user knowing...under the screen camera!! This is a great discovery!! Wonder how many other manufactures are doing the same. Which makes me ask..who really owns the phone(hardware+software)? Do we own the hardware and the manufacture owns the software, therefore they can do what they want without our permission?
Figured the Pixel 6 was going to have something awry with it when the preorder bonus (here in the UK at least) was so good. It tempted me for a while but then I figured it'd be a sign that Google knew the product itself would suck and wouldn't sell after the preorder rush.
Plus I really really don't get the two-X1/two-A76 core combo in the Tensor. I'd be surprised if it's remotely competitive on battery life and overheating.
These things only happen to the desperate, it will not happen to me because if I decide to buy it it will be for Christmas or January which is where there will be another generation of devices with these problems solved

My pixel comes tomorrow I have the 4XL and have Android 12 on it. These issues you're mentioning here are exactly what I have on my 4XL running Android 12. So I'm sure it's probably just a few bugs that release a little update to fix it. Because my 4XL was as smooth as can be until the other day when I upgraded my firmware to Android 12
Anonymous, 28 Oct 2021Cheap phones, what do you expect about QA?Same stuff happens on all Amoled's look up iPhones and S21 Ultra or what ever, will find same reports.
BigDisplay, 28 Oct 2021Never a Google phone without big failure... Sad but true 😳Only the old Nexus (minus the 6P), the Pixel 1 and the Pixel 3A got spared.

I think some Industrial Engineers that specialized in Quality Control & Assurances division should analyze and inspect what are the reasons behind the tradition of Google Pixel phones and their production always had issues and problems since the very first Pixel and even some Nexus phones in the past. Because, this is considering the Pixel 6 series was really anticipated, especially an enormous improvement compared to previous Pixels.
I actually kind of like the green power of effect! Android used to have some pretty cool power off or screen off animations. Now they're coming back!
Cheap phones, what do you expect about QA?
Trollhammeren, 28 Oct 2021How odd that there are no issues like this with Huawei phones... Huawei had screen issues before, look them up on Google.
Not to mention the battery life too.. only like 3 hours screen time for the Pixel 6 Pro that has 5k battery?! 🤦🏻♂️
