stirring up hype by throwing around rumors that their screen is unbreakable. Good job Sammy. The only company that can get away with making cheap quality phones = samsung.
the last thing samsung need is more plastic ! love my s3 and how it fits in my hand but hate that i just think it will slip out at any moment also !
Dont make it curvy this time please...need a true bar phone around 5" screen.

That s what apple do . But here it comes their difference apple only targets the high end users while sammy targets from entry level to high end . THAT'S WHY MANY NAMES AND VERSIONS.
i hop samsung s4 he kill the iphone5 or 5s becoz samsung s3 is bast phone ( new apple is go on to say by)
AnonD-80584, 06 Dec 2012well the level of conductivity depends on the quality of the coating.. as i mentioned, anodizi... moreYes No one brought up anything thermal. Since you mentioned expansion I might as well bring up conductivity since it matters more than expansion in this case.
As for electrical conductivity, while I have no means of quoting the ratio of oxides in iPhones case (will I just take your word for it), anodization is subject to wear and tear. In the case of iPhone 5 right out of the box. Do you know how big (or small) a "hole" is necessary to achieve conductivity?

Samsung for innovation, products with satisfaction to variou... moreahah im hating on thier phone versions man.. i didnt say samsung sucks. i said thier name conventions are ridiculous and they need to stop coming up with 80 versions of the same phone... it takes away from the credibility.
why can't they just come up with classes? why call a 30$ phone a galaxy edition phone?
i didn't mean to sound like a hater....
AnonD-80584, 06 Dec 2012so much for that... they came out with 500 versions of the galaxy.. galaxy y, z, t, w, s, q, p... moreYu s a tru definition of a hater. Samsung for innovation, products with satisfaction to various economy classes and value for any cent you pay. Go hate hater.
AnonD-80584, 06 Dec 2012so much for that... they came out with 500 versions of the galaxy.. galaxy y, z, t, w, s, q, p... moreWow. Right down to this level. I guess there's no point reasoning out here.
AnonD-49327, 06 Dec 2012Please explain, does anodization eliminate or simply lowers electrical conductivity? There's a... morewell the level of conductivity depends on the quality of the coating.. as i mentioned, anodizing is a process of applying aluminum oxide.. so it depends on the chemical composition of the of the coating. i.e. if there is a higher aluminum to oxygen ratio, then the coating will be partically conductive... but in this case, it should be VERY little conductivity.
regarding the thermal expansion.. notice i said thermal EXPANSION, not thermal conductivity. you're asking about where/how does the heat move.. thats thermal conductivty. i'm talking about how much the case expands and shrinks. but reducing thermal expansion, the phone is more rigid (more than it is if it was a plain aluminum casing).
hope this makes sense.
AnonD-77459, 06 Dec 2012I remember some rumors that Samsung is going to start a new series named 'Universe'(something ... moreso much for that... they came out with 500 versions of the galaxy.. galaxy y, z, t, w, s, q, p, n , o, safjs, asfjasf, blah blah blah...
if they're planning on doing the same with the "universe", then they're just stupid. Then they're just changing the name and not level/standard of the products.
knowing samsung, thats exactly what they'll do... just change the name but introduce 80 verisions of the same phone... universe s, universe S HD, universe S HD 4G, Universe S i9000, universe S i9000 HD..
... and what happens when the "universe" is too small for them? then samsung "heaven"... or samsung "god"..
wat a bunch of bafoons.
AnonD-80584, 06 Dec 2012actually, the both of you are wrong. firstly, apple's phone is anodized... and if you dont kno... morePlease explain, does anodization eliminate or simply lowers electrical conductivity? There's a difference between the two.
Also how does it inhibit thermal expansion? Where does it direct the heat when you're holding the device? I doubt it contains it within the material. :-)
I remember some rumors that Samsung is going to start a new series named 'Universe'(something bigger than Galaxy)-this may be it.
Plastic boby and plastic screen, plastic is actually very advanced and good! :)
When will iPhones get an unbreakable plastic screen and plastic body?
Just when i was about to get the s3 @ a very cheap price, now i have to wait & see if the s4 is worth it.
I don't know about this, but I got a funky feeling that the S-IV is actually the Note III in the making. If my memory serve me correctly samsung actually announced that there wasn't gonna be a fourth sequel to the S series mobile. But then again what's a funky feeling compared to the possibilty of selling millions of dollars worth of cool smart phone if they risk an S-IV
ZoRi, 06 Dec 2012Not as embarrassed as Nokia, providing cheap plastic and outdated phones.read the review about nokia920 its best phone where s3 and iphone6 fails
