Samsung i900 Omnia is better than this (save iPhone's great, straight forward and sleek UI n higher res screen). just when i thought d price will b at $199 only (thinking dis is an iPhone 3G) GSMarena clarified..

i think this is the end of all phones as we know it.i love nokia but i think this is the end for them.they are gonna sell the iphone in 70 country s for the same price.199$ and 299$.kiss your nokias goodbye guys
The Iphone 3G needs a secondary camera for videocall , its the principal gadget of the 3G tecnologic , without it its just an Iphono with more things
Please does any one have any idea about the in-built speakers of this new 3G iPhone.Because The existing one sounds worst.
ima get it i think personnally it will be great. It will me my internet tablet, email, and phone along with gps. Good enough for a business user plus the apps comin
nokiaaaaaaa foreveeeeeeeeer nokia is the best in the whole world , no other phone will beat nokia , go nokia
3G Iphone seems overrated and unimpressive...Iphones in general have awesome "good to have" features, but lack the basics...Apple. cant you just make the ultimate phone and make all us haters into lovers?
we're been waited so long for it & it's No video cam ???
so why this 3G
No video call camera? then what the hell is 3G for? and 2mega cam w/o flash. I will definitely go for i900.
will iphone 3g not have that really annoying metal casing around the headphone jack that prevents 99% of headphones from working?

"Apple creates a community and opens its doors to other companies who want to be included."
If anything, i think apple wants a complete monopoly! you can't install 3rd party application on it, which is a big mistake for a mobile phone since different users have different needs. apple acknowledge that mistake when it offered a not-so-open SDK application to would be developers.
the "community" that is behind iphone is actually a very limited few, probably such as yourself.
Again, I do admire the touch interface of iphone, but as regards anything else, you don't have to fool anyone, we all know that's not the case.
ScottieC, 10 Jun 2008I hope the Bluetooth function has been upgraded.. Or else im getting the Samsung i900..
If th... moreThis is a note to all Canadian users
You guys think that we are so behind, and that we are only getting the iPhone 1 now, but thats not whats happening. We are never getting the iPhone 1 and we are going straight to the iPhone 3G. Get yours from Rogers, and Fido,(yes, they've announced that Fido will carry it too on July 11th
I hope the Bluetooth function has been upgraded.. Or else im getting the Samsung i900..
If the 3G iPhone comes out in Canada instead of the previous model, then I'll buy both =]
And GPS and enterprise and SDK just some minor apps that the others do not have...
no one is reading the whole thing... you DO need a plan to get it for 199!!! gosh lol
well. nothing new apart from improved looks and 3G. good thing it's cheap, otherwise this brick wouldn't be worth it!
What many of you fail to realize is that the iPhone is more than just the sole phone and its specs by itself.
Apple creates a community and opens its doors to other companies who want to be included. I personally think the typical phone specs are lacking (no secondary video conference cam, no BT upgrade, etc.) but it lets more than just the single user in. With combined imaginations and desire to make things better, the iPhone is an elite tool as far as a mobile device goes in this connected age. Nokia, SE, Samsung and the rest may have phones with more MP or what have you, but they do not have the community that is behind the actual phone.
Until other companies can create a network like Apple has and an interface that is as user friendly - not just for the phone but between phones and computers and networks - I don't see a comparison as far as all-around mobile devices are concerned. Apple is building the future in mobile communication while the others are building upon how phones have been used.
