advice, 19 Dec 2012people should have the option wither to put screen protectors on their phones or not, sony puts... moreYes only Xperia J uses Gorilla glass.

A broken glass is a broken glass, wether it shatters or not. You still have to repalce it. So whats the point.

Sony's standrard is Scratch resistan, even low end has it.

Xperia V has higher specifications. See sony main page.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2012Sony's scrath resistant glass is a gorilla glass. Sony has confirmed that. The shatter proof s... morepeople should have the option wither to put screen protectors on their phones or not, sony puts an obligatory screen protector that is difficult to remove and if u remove u will stay with a raised edges around the screen, and not forget that it is easily scratched.

as i know sony doesn't use the gorilla glass even corning company doesn't list xperia phones among the phones that use its gorilla glass,if u don't mind please give me the website link that says sony uses the gorilla glass.

from my own experience when u break the gorilla glass it will not shatter (it will stay fixed to the phone )
but if u break the sony glass it will break to pieces but only can be kept on the phone by using the screen protector.

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2012Poor design. That's all I'm going to say.agree. same with samsung's "nature inspired" design for the galaxy s3. i still think the arc is sony's best looking phone.

Ed007, 18 Dec 2012If viewing angles weren't that important then there wouldn't have been IPS(In Plane Switching)... morei don't remember saying anything about keeping the viewing angles for privacy. that's rather stupid. what i''m saying is why would you want the person next to you to get a great view of your screen.

obviously, it's just a matter of preference. you don't always share your phone with people. it's rather uncomfortable doing that afaiac. stick with your Super AMOLED displays then. you're not being forced to get a Sony. the point is that your quest for wider viewing angles is not a need. it's just a bonus.

if you have actually tried these devices with "poor viewing angles," i bet you can say it's not really something worth complaining about. using this kind of screen makes the phone less expensive. this is probably one of the reasons why (at least in our area) sony phones are cheaper than samsungs.

Great, awesome, good new,I 'm also Sony's user,we are expected that Sony is high performance, high benchmark and high specification than any other smarts Phones(eg.samsaung,HTC,LG,I phone etc..)But Sony is still problem the battery drain is faster drop than other phones(eg.samsaung,Motorola,HTC)we expected it better than old phones.

Ed007, 19 Dec 2012Don't know about yuga but with the exception of xperia j, sony hasn't used corning's gorilla g... moreIt doesnt matter, Gorilla always breaks its still just an scratch resistant. So theres no point wether its a gorilla or not. Corning Gorrilla is not the toughest there is.

I like Sony phones but find the UI not that beautiful. HTC and Sharp UI are the most polished Android i find.
