?Is just a test with simple camera drive...
First version just say to developer how the phone reacts...
I am SO getting this phone!
nokia and samsung are going to start copying Sony Ericsson
sophiosein, 12 Jun 2008i will stick with Nokia they've never dissapointYou should also stick to posting in Nokia news articles, lest you get disappointed.
i will stick with Nokia they've never dissapoint
seriously i was impress at first but now that ive seen the samples..what was i thinking
Can't be that ugly, the color doesn't look real on those picture taking by the C905...Yark, yark, yark, no way! SE better fix the problem before it become another mistake like the K850! SE you can do better!
This is a cool phone wouldn't mind buyin it
The Images of C905 looks Great
And the big deal is? 8MP is incredible and for a minute I thought this could be a point and shoot digital camera replacement, but then I saw the sample pics it took. They're terrible and I really don't see any improvement from phone cameras with not even half the MP. All that added tech in the camera for nothing.
viperkid, 12 Jun 2008i gotta say dat dis phone, Sony Ericsson C905 (in beta/proto phone) has one of d WORST image q... more*sigh*
When, oh when will people realize that Cameras are among the last things to be frozen in a cellphone design? I work in a company that does a lot of promo work for one of the top cellphone manufacturers and let me tell you, more often than not, we get news of a redesigned camera module. Multiple times, in certain cases.
But then again, evolution skips a step now and then.
I have to say that image quality can easily be tweaked software-wise. I did some minor Photoshop color correction (which can be easily done by the Cybershot-software on the phone), and this is how the picture then looks:

I don´t think so, that pictures is very bad, for that camera is 8mp, not 3.2, i think see most better that pictures
@viperkid
Are you blind?im sure you are nokia fanboy, jelous guyz
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2008ok so if megapixels are not important why there are digital cameras with 5 mp,8 mp, 12 mp, 15 ... moreMegapixels only make pictures *bigger*. The quality of a picture is defined by the lens & sensor quality. The reason why there are digital camera's with so many megapixels is because higher numbers sell better. Just marketing.
8 megapixel...just a number:D the point is the optic of the camera 8 megapixel is just a software they all just update softwares... and update camera optic once a year this what they live by..."big awsome incredible smart..." CHEAP innovation
This one is really comic :) such a trashy pix . camera's battle :D
8mp?? whats that for when the pictures were even clear....
ok so if megapixels are not important why there are digital cameras with 5 mp,8 mp, 12 mp, 15 mp etc etc?? Because they prduce better quality. And this phone is for people who dont want to take so many equipments when they travel example a digital camera, video camera, a phone, a music player, a gps navigator, an internet device etc etc so they buy a phone like this and thats all
i gotta say dat dis phone, Sony Ericsson C905 (in beta/proto phone) has one of d WORST image quality i have ever SEEN in my whole life! just TERRIBLE, i cannot STAND IT! thinking dat dis s SE's next imaging flagship model, ERRRR...
truly - "like.no.other" (i.e. if d images posted n d news r genuinely taken by SE C905)
photos shot taken by prototype K800 n K850 surely, wdout a doubt, r way better than these samples! even a 3 year old cyber-shot phone SE K750 can easily dump dis level of image quality... read: CRAP

im sorry to SE fans, i juz can't help but criticize d image quality taken by dis phone after seeing d samples.
aside, from those, good job in adding wifi to a non UIQ(?) phone. i know, dat d C905 s still in its early stage, so let's just hope dat SE improves d image quality prior to its market release
PS
d style looks neat too, though a bit Samsungish..
