They need the right kind of innovation though . Taking out the sd card and making the battery non removable was like handing Samsung the victory on a plate . It's a shame the s and x are awesome products.
Poor marketing? Would it kill you to take a good look at yourself? Still in denial. There's that carrier issue and yes maybe not enough advertising. But one of the most important reasons why HTC's fallen is because they make great phones with a crippled leg. For example, no memory expansion. Bad battery life. Non- removable battery.
I've moved on to a Samsung. But if HTC gets back on its foot I just might come back.
Nick, 04 Jan 2013MAN I AGREE HTC sells awesome phones if not the best but they focus on trivial things on th... moreI agree. The phone is great; I like the feel when you are holding the phone and all the features. The Ads is not cool and it only show one features. Regarding the battery life, GS III is not much better! By having a removable battery does not make it a longer battery life. The reason I had ONE X is that I don't want pay heaps more on GSIII with the performance almost the same.
Its not about marketing, its about product quality!!! I had HTC sensation, NEVER AGAIN!!!
Indonesia: HTC After sales service's is very bad
And still got a lot battery problem
also, htc is best in apps, specially games. sony phones like the arc s for example doesnt do good in games. unresponsive at times with games like temple run causing death or having a hard time navigating through your dragonvale park. samsung phones often force closes and wouldnt even run at all until you email the developer for them to fix it. while a mere desire s phone that just has a single core 1 GHZ processor never suffered from these at all. HTC must focus more on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses.
It's simple: Choose ONE name for you flagship device (like Galaxy S or iPhone)... AND STICK WITH IT. It's called brand/type recognition. You've gone from Sensation to Amaze (only months later) to Sensation XE, Sensation XL, One X, OneX+, Butterfly - and this is just over the last 15 months. Ridiculous. You deserve to be struggling.
htc should cover all the needs of their customers for their flagships. if the htc one x just had a removable battery and a better battery, if it just had a microSD card slot, if they did not rush to release the phone, a better marketing strategy to help it, things would be a lot different. other manufacturers took advantage of the ear;y release of the one x. stealing customers from other manufacturers by releasing the first quad-core phone isnt going to help in the long run. it would steal potential buyers at first but in the long run isnt a good idea.
for people say galaxy s3 faster than one x you can check one x quadrant after update about 6800 but galaxy s3 still there not change
... in the first time galaxy s3 beat one x quadrant because one x still in development from the first release and still not receive system update and you know one x released in february 2012 but galaxy s3 released 3 month later so samsung can increase galaxy s3 performance before release so it can beat one x..... I have compared both phone when load apps the result is one x faster than galaxy s3 and than when return to main home screen one x did much faster than galaxy s3 when galaxy s3 still load shortcut and widget so this is you call galaxy s3 faster than one x ?????????
Mr. Chou, the strength of a company or its brand name does not reside on good products, or on good marketing alone but also on acknowledging the needs of your loyal customer base. Many clients of HTC have thrown the sponge away for the simple reason that HTC has not done enough to update or upgrade existing phones like your competitors keep doing. The irony is that HTC by and large makes quality phones that are endearing and meant to last, and because they last, most of your clients would want to stick around with them longer, but because of a lack of updates, many do leave never to return. I am one who might consider switching over to Samsung.
I left HTC after the desire HD to samsung s3 due to crap battery and no sd card slot.
htc has the best phones anywhere period they just need bigger battery and memory card slot if not at least 64gb
I don't know why people always hate HTC,,, you know google and other like samsung always copy htc idea for developing android some of them that first in htc device is
1. lock screen shortcut
2. çlock and weather widget
3. potrait to landscape or rotation animation
4. unread sms, email and phone count
5. style of the unlock screen
6. taking picture when record video
7. system update from phone
8. odex system apps
9. first smartphone with pen you can see htc flyer and then samsung
copy this idea
10. and many more htc always first and then following by google and samsung
I always check HTC phone but always missing something.. Sometime SD card slot.. Non removable battery.. Speacially BAD BAD BAD BATTERY..... listen to your customers HTC otherwise you will face much more bad results... My first and last phone of HTC was Desire HD which I got rid because of BAD BAD BAD BATTERY.... HTC downfall has one big reason BBB Bad Bullshit Battery.....
I hope in 2013, HTC will understand that consumers want phones with microSD slot and bigger battery.
MAN I AGREE
HTC sells awesome phones if not the best but they focus on trivial things on their ads. i said this all year and this post just confirms.
their phones are the best and their marketing needs to promote this insted of some random jumping out of a plane taking photos.
sure blame a poor marketing campaign not the fact that your battery sucks you're overpriced and you don't listen to your customers:(
