Wow... more power chips.. i wonder why android need to be pack with that huge power? The os itself need to be fix i guess.
john, 09 Jan 2013Apple will relabel this the exynos Octa the A7 and take all the credit next September.More likely Samsung will slap an Exynos sticker on an ARM chip and call it their own. And the Samsung fanboys will think Samsung created it.
I can't beleave you are saying that T4 has allready lost to this, T4 has a quad core a15 cpu for heavy lifting just like this thing does and krait s4 pro was dominating everything, i bet snapdragon 800 will do the same...just wait and see
AnonD-77443, 09 Jan 2013"Made of plastic". Otherwise known as poly carbonate and used by most phones that ar... moreSure. Its poly-carbonate....that Samsung cheapened by adding a glossy coat. The Galaxy S3 has the feel and finish of a $1 dollar store plastic glass.
Still Apple don't need to powerhouse cuz it ain't laggy. Android needs an intel i7 to work properly XD
Who cares. The Snapdragon S4 Pro already runs anything on Android with absolutely zero hiccups. Having more powerful guts doesnt mean anything if it only shows up on benchmarks.
8 cores? Then what, 16 cores?
i'm getting tired of this rat race.
anyway, whats the use of all this is samsung is going to create incredibly ugly phones?
be sensible, be classy & go for the Xperia z.
more core more price....same performace as 4 core...so waste of money.......
This is more proof lag is a lie on android.
8 cores of processing power.
Now who's been smoked windows phone.
AnonD-99034, 09 Jan 20138 cores? The SIV will be an smartphone on steroids. And of course, made of plastic."Made of plastic". Otherwise known as poly carbonate and used by most phones that are made.
Unlike other phones (iphone cough cough) it doesn't easily scratch, dent and is a lighter, cheaper material.
Hope the A15 core will be at least 2.0 Ghz (at least 2 of them)...and would also be nice to be able to use all 8 of them at once...when needed....
AnonD-99034, 09 Jan 20138 cores? The SIV will be an smartphone on steroids. And of course, made of plastic.Don't be so sure, it is rumored to be unbreakable.
What about inventing the arc reactor to solve our battery problems? c'mon samsung i know you can do it! :D
8 cores? The SIV will be an smartphone on steroids. And of course, made of plastic.
So Samsung had nothing to show at this year's CES and started to show chipsets on paper?
Actually this architecture can be licensed by anyone from ARM ...
I am sure that few dosens of managers, pseudo-engineers and such siblings got fired after Sony showed up the Xperia Z.
Anonymous, 09 Jan 2013Not innovation, just lazy to develop one good efficient processor.Funny how Samsung (Note 2 and SGS3) already beat most of the competitions battery life (including noikia and apple) except for motorola typically.
This will give their phones even more grunt and power savings... if other companies had the technology and money to develop big.LITTLE i'm sure they would have.
WELL DONE SAMSUNG!!
This is another good news for all users. Those who argue that their units don't need so much cores BEFORE and kept explaining how wonderful a certain OS does not need 1gb of RAM - what specs are you using now? True multi-tasking unit devices are the way. Everything improves.
