I'm skeptical about this. 4 cores for hard processing is ok but 4 cores also for simple task?? Its too much IMHO. I hope they know what is practical but to think that they might only use this on thier flagships is fine. :)
Sammy like to show off their muscles..
but as a man, I prefer the beauty contest of Sony..
genn, 10 Jan 2013another gimmick. throwing more cores. to sell more. i hope samsung can create in different way... moreanother gimmick?
If it was for people like you, we would still have computers running single core CPU with 64MB memory
Also, Xperia Z is going to be outdated on release LOL

You don't know what you're talking about. What Sony basically did is put a built in 'Power Saver' in the Xperia Z. Those are available in the Play Store for years now. What they mean by saying 400% increase in battery life is 'all things turned ON' (GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, Sync) VERSUS 'all of them turned off'. Seriously, only morons would turn all those things ON when not in use. Do you need GPS to go to your bathroom? Or do you need to turn on WiFi when using mobile data? So moronic.
another gimmick. throwing more cores. to sell more. i hope samsung can create in different ways. seems samsung only compete with cores only. i hope their is beauty outside the cores.. JUST LIKE MY XPERIA Z. head to head
Woooowww! Finally, my faith in big.Little tech is vindicated, Samsung have at long last dropped the bomb! Nvidia n Qualcomm u can eat your hearts out (or your hats)! This part will power the SGS4 in all probability! Samsung r gonna go even better nxt year with Cortex A57-A53 cores and x64 (and x86) compatibility with ARM v8 and further process shrinks all the way down to 10 nm! The Samsung Future, now even endorsed by President W.J. Clinton! Way 2 go Uncle Sam!
my HOX+ ROOT custom with Killers overclock ROM after a factory rest shames the WP for smoothness.
My Terga 3+ @ 5 cores overclocked to 1.92GHz stable on USB power profile with almost 10GHz of total processing power versus my
friends who is still waiting for 7.8 on his single core Lumia 900! LOL
Why the long delay WP 7 users ? cause single core have no power to handle anything.
Android is the best for true processing use
Anonymous, 10 Jan 20135th core is also present in tegra3 yet it's still power hungry.Nvidia have yet to release the codes to developer's for them to use it properly.
But Custom kernels with super underclock kernel modes do.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013Enjoy your outdated piece of cr@p phone! LOL, it's 2013 and you're still on dual core. WOW!Audi cars are now using smaller and smaller engines yet have increased performance. Efficiency is the name of the game now.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013Yes i agree.. for android we need more management. "Stamina mode" is a good step tak... moreno it doesn't android is the best.
tegra 4 has a special 5th core used for power saving.
72 graphic cores and 5 CPU cores + HD processor core for 78 cores of processing power to show how smooth android really is to the WP users
HOX+ UK users group [ROOT & anti-lag custom killers ROM running Nova launcher @ 1.92Ghz OC]
isnt that too much ? i think quadcore is enough. sometimes too much isnt good thou,
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013Awww. Looks like somebody is too drunk on specs to realize it's still basically a quad core chip.Enjoy your outdated piece of cr@p phone!
LOL, it's 2013 and you're still on dual core. WOW!
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013This is ARM's design, not samsung's, so it's going to be in most high end phones in the future... moreThis is Samsung's design using ARM's architecture, similar to how Qualcomm is making theirs. When you compare generations, Exynos performs far better in most aspects.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013In that case Ill go with Xperia Z S4pro with stamina mode feature. It could optimize battery 4... moreYes i agree.. for android we need more management. "Stamina mode" is a good step taken by sony, because they know the main culprit is android's heavy battery usage, and put that management into our control.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2013In that case Ill go with Xperia Z S4pro with stamina mode feature. It could optimize battery 4... more@anonymous seems you dont have idea of technical details. If you have big cores, it demands more energy and battery. Intel has that problem on PC, do you see many 8 cores on the market? No. This is because of heat and energy problem. Samsung make an hybrid phone to reduce this, it is a clever solution and brings 50% reduction of energy.
AnonD-58835, 10 Jan 2013i read almost all comments here, and seems people do not have idea what Samsung is preparing. ... moreThis is ARM's design, not samsung's, so it's going to be in most high end phones in the future. Qualcomm's version usually performs better anyway.
AnonD-58835, 10 Jan 2013i read almost all comments here, and seems people do not have idea what Samsung is preparing. ... moreIn that case Ill go with Xperia Z S4pro with stamina mode feature. It could optimize battery 4 times, thats 400% for a quadcore. Its just the phone feature that makes it efficient not the number of cores. Optimizaion is the keyword. And I trust Spandragon, Exymos migth bring more suddden issues.
