If you updated your iPhone to iOS 15.4 and saw that the battery drains quickly, then you should regret it. A software update is a series of changes to a software or operating system to update, fix or improve it, but the iOS 15.4 update is bad news for iPhone users! Unlike other updates, it causes a very bad bug - battery draining! If you updated your device to iOS 15.4, then quickly change the battery! Or you will regret it!

Running 2 iPhones, one is iPhone 8, the other iPhone XR.
Both updated to ios 15.4.
Also experienced the battery drain, but only with iPhone 8.
Checked the battery consumers and detected 'Bitdefender mobile security' using 95 %.
Deinstalled the app. Looks like Problem is solved.

But heating issue doesn’t have a set pattern that why it occurs but it suddenly occurs while using phone and also when just after using i put it in my pocket

I looked at my iphone 13 pro max today when I got home and was totally confused as to why my battery is so low. I have never experienced this bad battery life from this phone. Hoping it gets fixed soon.

The phone will scan every single photo to identify faces, objects, events so that u can search for them or have albums automatically created. It integrates apps with Siri (for apps that support it), it indexes all texts in all platforms (unless opted otherwise) so u can search for text in the whole phone and not only some apps, siri identifies contacts. Like if you have received an email from a solicitor even without saving the number you can ask siri to call solicitor and she will instantly come up with a number (from example at the bottom of the email). All these tasks run in the background when the phone is on standby. My iphone 13 pro max was completely unaffected. I haven't charged it in 3 days.

And because it's doing something in the background, battery goes down a bit faster after an update.

Location thing is always on after 15.4. It seems system services using it. It wasn’t like this during beta. Stable version did that. No battery drain by the way
