Here's a thought. Buy a cheap phone, they are usually made in small sizes, they might also have more features than the remote control. And for the connectivity for the tv, there's something called a wireless network, some phones can connect to smart tv so there's no point in keeping the phone near the tv.
Zao, 26 Jan 2013.Omg! . The funniest news ever! So HiLaRiOuS! I wonder if they'll launch a remote '... moreThe 'micro' might still be a bit big for some people. So, they'd need a 'nano' to control that.
It would be a more serious investment if they added a sim card capability to it, so it could be used as a secondary feature phone as well as a remote control device. In that case, if they offered the remote-phone included in the price of the Butterfly, maybe i might buy such a set.
The funniest news ever!
I wonder if they'll launch a remote 'micro' for controlling the remote 'mini',,,,...!

good work htc.
HTC is so desperate to bring something new to the table that im starting to fell sorry for them
what is the use of having a smart phone if one still needs a remote??? what type of smart phone is it???
Anonymous, 26 Jan 2013This would be much better on a tablet with voice call capabilities. So handling 4.8" or 5" or 5.2" display phones is easy in your opinion? Sure it would be great on a tablet but remeber that you would have to keep it withing sgnal range of both network and bluetooh. But I bet tablets sit usually in briefcases or backpacks.
Then... HTC will launch 'HTC Smart Watch', a remote control for this HTC Mini..
after that, in the next month it'll launch 'HTC Ring', a remote for the smart watch...
Horrayyy.... it's so brilliant. Don't forget to buy all of this accessories. Just buy it!

I got an idea..how about getting me instead one of those small Nokia cheap handsets and save me some 600 to 700 $. A remote for a phone...i wonder who came up with that useless doozy. How about another idea....getting a bluetooth ear piece instead
I think it's a great idea. There have been plenty of moments when you have one hand busy and handling that huge smartphone is a pain. The only downside might me the bluetooth communication .
guys shut-up, you don't know what are you talking about!! people are spending hundreds of dollars to buy some creepy bluetooth headsets, and none of them even come close to this addition from HTC !! you're not even able to buy the phone, so what are you doing here ? just saying bullshit :D
